I hope this link comes through. ABOUT.COM has an interesting article on chronic fatigue. It's not all in our heads!
Ok, once again I failed to post correctly. LOL!!! Here is the link.

Hi L- kitty, Thank you for this link, the more I read about ME/ CFS , the more I am convinced that I have it ! My fatigue has been the debilitating factor for me, don’t get me wrong the pain is certainly an issue, but I feel like I could function somewhat with it, but the shear exhaustion is what keeps me from doing anything and of course the more i sit the more i hurt … I did have chronic pain for years so you have to wonder if treating the pain would actually help the exhaustion ??? What came first the chicken or the egg ?
Lol

My fibromyalgia symptoms followed an unknown virus that kept me bedridden for almost two months. That was 9 or 10 years ago. I could barely get myself to the bathroom or hold myself upright or feed myself. I thought I must be dying and at 32! Now, that fatigue eventually lifted, but then the overall muscle pain/weakness set-in. It has been sort of manageable up until this last few years of terrible emotional traumas in my life.
Honestly, I don't know how they could tell if I have ME/CFS or not, the symptoms of fibro are so similar. I could be misdiagnosed with fibro. And, there is no test that I know of for ME/CFS- just like with fibro. I have alot of fatigue, but I don't have that overwhelming fatigue I wrote of... I do have more fatigue than usual when I am sick, sleeping poorly, or have my period.
