Hello everyone
I am new here.i have joined the site for my hubby not for me.i want to learn as much as a can about fibromyalgia to help him deal with everything he is going through.he is registered blind and now fibromyalgia on top.i have read a lot about it and can understand some of what he is feeling as I have psoratic arthritics .the pain ,the fatigue and living in a fog( mine due to strong painkillers).
So I can be a help and support for him when he needs it and not be someone who does not have a clue how he feels and tells him to pull himself together.friends just don’t understand as they can’t see anything wrong on the outside.so now hubby and me walk down the path which is now our life together and take everyday as it comes.
So just wanted to say hello and that I will be surfing the forum and relying information to hubby.
Bye for now
Tracy
Hi Tracy
The way I work I sometimes miss post. Welcome to you and your husband.
Welcome Tracy !
I always love when people join the group in support of someone else, because it seems to be pretty rare. As patients, we really need all the support we can get, because like you said, no one understands when the illness is 'invisible'. It's great of you to take the initiative!
Since you also have a chronic illness that is pain-based, you already understand much more than most people. I think one of the most helpful things we can do is join a support group like this, because this is where you find out all the information on the little things directly from the patients -- things that the doctors don't know, or don't think about how they affect us in our day to day lives.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have, everyone here is extremely friendly, helpful, and supportive. And because Fibromyalgia affects our sleep so horribly, many of us are here all night too !
Hugs,
Renie♥

HE SAYS HE KNOWS BUT HE DOESN'T. NO ONE REALLY KNOWS UNLESS THEY EXPERIENCE IT BUT FOR YOU TO JOIN A FORUM WHERE YOU CAN READ ABOUT OTHERS STORIES WILL SURELY HELP YOU KNOW HOW HE FEELS! Gentle hugs to you both!

Dear Tracy,
Welcome to the group! I have fibromyagia and Psoriatic Arthritis, so will gladly talk to you anytime! The Rheumatatologist has finally said that he believes the PsA caused the Fibro!
I hope that you have a supportive and helpful family, please feel like family here, we really understand how you are feeling. Come to us anytime.
You are welcome to join our sub-group, fibro and arthritis. I try to post all of the new findings, meds, tests and treatments for all types of arthritis. Just click groups at top!
We welcome you both, glad you posted!
Hi Tracy, your husband is fortunate to have a wife who recognizes that fibromyalgia does exist and is interested in learning more about it.
I’ve learned a lot since joining this group and I’m sure you’ll benefit from the scope of knowledge and experience the members on this site have and share. You’ also have an opportunity to join the sub-group concerning arthritis and get some support for yourself in your battle with arthritis.
I hope that you will share the experiences that you and your husband have, as we can all learn from each other.
Gentle hugs and good thoughts coming your way
