I have been on Topamax for many years now-since at least 2011, maybe before. I was taking 150 mgs. twice a day without any side effects although I often read that many others have had bad effects from it. Since I have been so fatigued lately, my one dr. has slowly been lowering my dose. I see him the end of this month and he'll probly lower it again. Now, the Lamitcal was another story. I had really bad side effects from that. I was put on it for a mood stabilizer. I had bad neurological effects. And for a long, long time. They called it Tardive Dyskinesia. I couldn't walk a straight line half the time, my memory was poor, my handwriting was very shaky, I would get down on my hunkers to pick something up and couldn't get back up without help. I would fall backwards when walking up steps-never actually fell. I was a mess. Even after going off it. I guess that goes to show that everyone reacts differently to meds.
