Looking for good doctor to treat my fibromalgia also any one try tizanidine 2 mg?

some one told about KAVA kava ,any one try this ?

I try to downsize amitriptilyn 25 to 1/2 in 12 day and that give me severe panic attack ?not sure if this related I have take it for 10 years?

Hi, Pravda! I live in TN so I don’t know of a good doctor in your area. Maybe change your post to something like “Looking for a good doctor around Brookline, MA”?
I have not heard of kava-is it some kind of supplement? I do take 4mg tizanidine sometimes when I have had a stressful day at work & my muscles are all tensed up. I have trazodone to help me sleep better but I don’t like it. It makes my nose stuffy & when I can’t breathe well, I snore, lol! I have a low dose prescription for amitriptyline that works pretty well & I’ve been thinking of discussing a change of dose for it with my doctor. You are right, you do need to discuss your current meds & any possible beneficial supplements with a good doctor. I hope you find an awesome doc in your area to help you with your treatment plan. I have a great doc & it makes a huge difference.

I am taking amitriptilyn 25 at night and not sure if i can combine those two?

Make sure before you take something to check for any potential drug interactions before you take something different. Check with a doctor ; you can also go online at www.drugs.com & input the drugs to see how they interact with each other. I do this often as I sometimes forget!

Hello Deb,Just come back from ER ,can not handle it anymore .So the verdict they give me Ultram 50 and Valium 5(that is make me so drowse and sleepy and reduction of the pain 60%.

At this point not sure what works ?

Not sure yet how to get this with Amitriptiyn i have read those two have moderate interaction

Hi Pravda,

I take Tizanidine 4mg at bedtime. It makes me really drowsy when I take it, so I cannot take it during the day, but it significantly helps me sleep at night. I also feel a lot of pain relief when I take it. It helps relax my tense muscles and the pain. I'm sorry to hear you had to go to the ER. I hope what they gave you will help your pain.

I am glad you sought help. It seems you were prescribed additional medications in the ER.

I would encourage you to contact the doctor who prescribed the Amitryptiline to you to check in on drug interactions with both the Tinazidine and these others as well as your overall symptom and pain management.
