Nervous, Tired and Anxious

Due to losing my insurance back in October I had not seen my regular Doctor of the last 3 years. I got insurance in March but had to wait to set up new appointment with new Doctor because mine doesn't take my insurance.

My appt is June 8th. and I am so nervous and anxious. I am hoping this Dr. will be as patient and understanding as my other. The last 8 mos. have been a roller coaster and I am hoping to find a more even ground somewhere. To top it all off I am applying for SSI which on the second go around.

I am hoping he is updated and willing to listen and work with me on finding what will help me.

This rollercoaster really wears on a person sometimes. Trying to stay positive isn't always the easiest thing to do. I have made a worded list of things I want to be sure and bring up so I don't forget any thing and hope that this helps in explaining my health situation.

Well just wanted to rant a little on a achy painful day of nervousness. On a good note, The sun is shining and suppose to be nice the rest of the weekend... Thanks for listening.

Hello Gypsy,

Sorry to hear of the tough time you are going through - my heart goes out to you. It is always difficult changing Docs, we all need a good relationship with our Docs, especially with this tricky condition. Sounds like you're well prepared anyway. Good luck, and let us know how you get on.

Take care, Anne

Hi Gypsy, hopefully you have got copies of your medical records from your previous doctor, especially since you have some complicated issues and you were working well together. If not, I would make sure everything gets sent to your new MD asap, including test results. This should also make it easier to apply for SSI. Good luck- Starr
PS make sure the scheduling staff have the maximum time allotted for you as new patient, make sure they know you have a number of issues to discuss. Otherwise you may get there and find out you only have a 15 minute appointment slot.
