I had to get a new dr :/

The dr I had was hard to work with, but at least we could almost compromise. She is leaving her practice and I had to go to a new clinic (I am on medical). Not only did I meet my new nurse practitioner in the 3 day of - 4 day flare, but I had tweaked something in my neck and shoulder (3 shoulder surgeries) basically she told me she was unable to renew my prescriptions until she recieved my medical records. She sent for them that day July 3. Yesterday I took my last lyrica, and this evening I took my last norco. They both should of been renewed the 10th, I was conserving as much as possible. As of today, they have recieved no records, and I still have yet to get ahold of the old office. What am I supposed to do?

Hi Erica

Is the office completly closed? Is their any way to go by their and get a copy of your records to take to the new doctor? Call them back and explain you are out of your meds and see if she will call in a few weeks while waiting on the records Tell them you are worried about stopping the lyrica so quickly while waiting and go to the er if you start having problems.

hi Erica

i totally agree with what lovett and purple told you. These are not the meds that you just abruptly stop taking..

i send you my wish to you for all the best and HUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

She was the only dr. She has two office workers but no nurses, or PA. The new office isn’t letting me talk to any of their medical professionals. It’s just the lady at the front desk saying “I understand what your saying, but we haven’t received your records, and our policy states we will not renew prescriptions until we have those records!”
