Help!

Ok, so my insurance just ran out and i have one lyrica left, so im freaking out…i have applied for another just waiting. So any suggestions? Please and Thank u

Call your doctor and see if he/she can prescribe a week's worth, or even a few day's worth. Pregabalin is the name of Lyrica in its generic form but I'm not sure if it's available commercially yet. If so, you might be able to get it cheaply at Walmart. Also, Pfizer, the company that makes Lyrica offers financial support for 6 months and it only takes a few days to be approved and get the drug. Of course, you'll need a prescription from your physician.

I hope you can get some Lyrica quickly. Please let us know that you're okay, Necee.

Thinking of you,

Petunia

Hi, Necee. Thanks for your post. I am glad you reached out. Petunia’s advice sounds right on to me. Thanks, Petunia.
Please do keep us updated, Necee. We care and want to be sure you’re gonna be ok.
Hugs,

Laurie

Good morning Necee. I was wondering how things were going for you today? Have you been able to secure more meds? Echoing Baltimorebaby and Petunia, we want you to be able to manage your symptoms. Please let us know how you are doing. We are here to celebrate and hug, whatever you need. Hugs, ST

I called Walgreens for a weeks worth and i found a discount card…so hopefully i can afford it and hopefully insurance will kick in soon…thanks guys

Necee,
Good RX has an app that will find the cheapest price in your area, many of which have discount coupons you can show the pharmacy on your phone. You may already have that app, but if not, it’s in the App Store or online. I have found several using that app that saves me a substantial amount of money over what my insurance would pay!
HUGS from Deb

Hi Necee, I am glad you found a discount card - I hope you were able to get the Lyrica. Please keep us updated. Hugs!

Hello Necee,

Just checking in to add my support, and hope you are able to get your meds. I know I am in a panic if I forget to put my prescription in, quite a common thing with my muddled brain! I know it's a different system in UK, tho.

Take care, Anne

Insurance kick in! Yay Thanks everyone

That is awesome news Necee! A great way to start a weekend!

That’s terrific, Necee!

Awesome news. I am so happy for you. Hugs to you

Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done, my dear!

And I love the app information. Can't wait to use it myself!

That's great! It'll be a good stopgap, especially with the discount card. How did you get it? Did it help much?

Another stop-gap option is to see if your doctor has samples of the meds and is willing to help you out. Most specialists like rheum may have sample supplies of Lyrica and Savella. I couldn’t afford Savella a few years ago ($300 per month for me at the time) but my pain doc gave me samples for over a month.

Thanks Starr, that is a great suggestion as well!
