Pain in my bones

Hey Steph,

I know all about pain in my bones, be sure to talk to your Dr about this, be sure to keep ALL of your scheduled appointments.

Feel better soon,

SK

Stephanie,
I feel like my bones are razor blades slicing through my skin. It’s mostly my hips, hands and feet.
Does your body feel sharp pain like razor blades?
Sunflower

it is called vulvodynia.

Hi Stephanie, I’m sorry your are hurting in your bones, it’s always good to talk to the dr. About it, but I’m thinking this is a common fibro complaint, all thought Iv never had it in the pelvic area, but I can say my bones feel like they are broke, mostly in my joints, for me fibro seems very progressive, because 6 months ago I didn’t have knee, ankle and hand pain … Ugh it just seems like its always something …
My heating pad has become my very close friend, and it seems the less active I am the worse the pain is, but how do we stay active when it hurts??? Million dollar question
Hope your doing ok, sounds like your job is working out good for ya, I’m so happy for you !!
Hugs & blessings
One day at a time right

thank you so much for giving me the name. i did look it up and it sounds like what i am going through

thank you for letting me know that heat helps

thanks SK i will. i did end up in the er tonight cause the pelvic and adominal pain was really getting to me it hurt to have sweat pants on. i have one bad infection pid and they r not sure what other infection i have i will not know for 2 days. the gave me an antibotic shot and they will give me oral antibotics when they find out exactly what other infection i have. i was in so much pain morphine didnt really help. it kinda took the edge off but that was it. i am hoping this shot clears up the infection quickley i need some sleep..

yes it does at times. i cant believe how many members suffer with this. thanks for your reply.

thank you for responding. my job is going really well. the only thing right now it that i am not sleeping well do to the infection pid along with another pelvic infection that the dr has to wait to find out the name. the heating pad helps but i really need one of those ones that last for 8 hours and u just stick them on. i have no idea how i am going to get through the day tomorrow at work. i cant sleep.

thank you for the link it makes fing things alot better.

well this pain seems all to commen for so many. i cant believe so many of us suffer with this horriable pain. i was in the er tonight cause i havent slept much the past few nights and i didnt think i would make it through the day today. i was having very severe pain in my pelvic area and i could not get comfortable. having sweat pants on hurt. i have pid once again. i hate this infection it hurst so bad. and this time seems like the pain is so much worse. i think i waited too long to get checked. i wish that insted of pain killers the dr would have just sedated me and treat the infection then woke me up.

the pain is so bad that morphine barley took the edge off and i wasnt given anythibg else. i was given a script for low dose narco but i had taken the high dose 10/325 and it didnt help.

i feel like everytime something goes wrong with my body i get more than problem at a time it can never be just one problem at a time. i am so very tired but i cant sleep cause of the pain and worring about my nephew. there was a threat at his school anthey dont know if the person will bring a gun and start firing or not. my sister wants to keep him home but he want to go to school.

thanks for all the responces and help in this problem with pain in my bones

i do have it. when i had surgey at age 21 they confirmed ot by doing some sort of test. i have had it for 9 years now. i wont take the medicine for it cause i dont want to not be able to take nsaids. i guess the medicine for it acts as a blood thinner so u cant take anything else that may thin your blood. tylenol does work for my pain at all no matter whats hurting. its even gotten to where motrin and aleve dont help anymore either.

I hear ya. My legs hurt to the bone too, and last night for the first time, It hurt like a baby being pulled out of me and bringing my pelvic bones with it. Thanks for starting this discussion.

Eeyoreluver, you do need to pick up the results. Even if you don't read them, if you do have lupus, it's still there. If you don't, then you can breath a big sigh of relief! Meanwhile, if you do, you could get meds for treatment and also know what to do to help yourself. And hopefully you'd feel somewhat better.

But it could be the fibro. My back feels like it's breaking a lot of the time thanks to fibro.

I don't know about the vaginal situation but please get it checked out. If it's an infection, you can get treatment and feel much better. If it's the fibro...I hope it isn't. That would really stink.

I know I need to go get the answer to my test. You r right that no matter what it says I will get relief in some form.
I was in the er last night and I have pid and some other vaginal infection but they have to wait for the culture to come back to know what infection it is. Meanwhile I was given an antibiotic shot. Now if the pain from the infection would let up some I could get some sleep.
I am not working again till January 7th so I will have plenty of time to recover and have time to see the Dr about the lupus test.

Wow that sounds horrible. I am so sorry you had to go through that.
I have started a lot of discussions in the past few months cause it seems like my body is changing so much and I am having so many new symptoms and pains. My Dr did test me for lupus but I haven’t gone back to get the results yet. I will get to it in the next few weeks since I will no b working.

I don't know what PID is but a vaginal infection could certainly add to your misery in your nether region. I'm not sure if this kind of pain is also fibro related. It sound horrid. But I found a really cute article that reminded me of Eeyore, so I'm including the link here, to cheer you up:

Sheila, that sounds so horrid that it brings to mind the movie, "Alien." I TRULY hope that you went to the doctor after experiencing this. That's not normal. I'm not even sure that it's fibro normal. Please get checked out, okay?

Hugs,

Petunia

PID is pelvic inflammatory disease. I had it when I was in college and they put me in the hospital for three or four days. Of course, now they probably would give you a shot, a prescription and send you home. it is Very painful.

i have had this infection several times and i have never been kept in the hospital. i wish i was cause this time was the worst one of them all apin wise.
