I went to work today (not sure how much longer I will be able to say that)
One of the ladies in the office just got back from a cruise and brought me a little present. Made me feel good.
I was able to wear my pretty new snow boots (bad weather = good fashion?)
I was able to get off a little early (due to aforementioned bad weather) and get to the store before everyone else (it was still busy)
While putting our cart in the cart collection area, I found a wallet. I remembered seeing the lady who parked her cart, and looked for her, but she was gone. I took the wallet into the store and turned it in to customer service. I know how I would feel, and how appreciative I would be to receive everything back. I didn't look in it or anything. Made me feel good, and in some small way, I paid it forward. (Trust me when I say we could have used any cash that might have been in there, but it wasn't mine to take)
I was able to come here and share some knowledge, and know that there are other people like me, and that I'm not "weird"....well, okay...maybe a little, lol.
nocogirl That is wonderful. I am sure the lady was so glad to get her wallet back. Its always nice to receive a gift from someone. I bet your snow boots are great.
Ice cream! I have some in the freezer, thanks to my sister. And it's a hot day here, so yay for the ice cream! And for my sister!
The other positive thing is having my pets with me all of the time. I have even given them little pretend voices and act out what they are doing and saying throughout the day, out of boredom! I either sound insane or like a future playwrite, right?
Today I have almost finished the baby blanket I have been making for my neighbor she's due in December. Its a great warm up for me since my oldest son and my daughter in-law just told me about a month ago we are having a new baby. I'm very excited. Can't wait to find out whether its a boy or a girl so I can start crocheting toys and blankets and sweater sets for the little one. The baby is due in March and we are hoping that it will be born on My late husbands birthday. Such wonderful news. I'm just thrilled.
