I have a high RF level, have had since I was first tested in 2013 but 3 rheumatologists have agreed I don’t have RA, no inflammation from it at all but I presume I could still develop it later but they never said that.
Hi Deb, my rheumy also told me I test positive for the rheumatoid factor. She says that does not mean I have it, but I could possibly develop it one day. Hope this helps, good luck
True, Charlie, so true. On the other hand, we Canucks can go to anybody we manage to get a referral to. No insurance company tells us that the doctor of our choice isn’t in our “network”. I picked my rheumatologist (I’m prepared to travel), I waited a long time, and I now I have one of the world’s best rheumies. While I waited I had OK care from someone I didn’t much like.
There’s two sides to every loonie. The doctor shortage, though, does make things difficult.
