Stabbing, Throbbing Pain

Hi, Lovelies.
I don’t know if this is a flare as I can’t say I’ve had one before at least not with these symptoms, but I am having stabbing and throbbing pain in my arms. Is this a common Fibro symptom?
I’ve never been tested for MS and yet my mind can’tvhekp but to go to that dark place especially given these “new” and unfamiliar symptoms.
Thanks for any feedback.
Laurie

I can't answer that one my arms are just weak... my shoulders have pain (fibromyalgia Bursitis). I know I was like you I wondered if I had MS as well...I believe one needs a brain scan to detect MS... I could be wrong about that... but you should talk to your Dr. about this and do not just assume it is Fibro...

I Hope you find an answer, HUGGS Belinda

Thanks, Belinda. I’ve only been having these symptoms for a few weeks and I kept thinking they would either go away or it’s Fibro acting up. So difficult to tell! I have a neurologist check-up appointment in a few weeks, so I think I am gonna explain this new pain and see if an MRI is in order.

Sorry you have the bursitis. It isn’t fun. I have it too.

I can’t use either shoulder for long or sleep on either side. I trained myself to now sleep on my back. Lol. At least they can’t say we’re not a resourceful bunch, us Fibro survivors!

Hi Laurie, I’m quite familiar with the stabbing pains in the arms. I also had pains at the sides of my elbows that were like a hive of bees were stinging me. You are not alone. I’m currently in a flare and those are just some of the wonderful pains I have. Lil.

And, so I am not alone… I’m so sorry you have these, too. The stabbing pain also comes off and on along with throbbing and\or fluttering pain. I noticed them in my legs occassionally now, but mostly in my arms. They’re awful and scary. :frowning:

I plan on a check-up regardless, but forgive me for feeling a little better in knowing I am not alone and it could be Fibro. Thank you. Feel better soon.

Laurie

Hi Laurie, I have a lot of arm pain. It is usually more in the upper arms and shoulders. I also recently started getting a ton of wrist pain. Nonstop wrist pain for about 4 days now and some before that. My fingers hurt frequently as well. And the weird thing is one arm is almost always way weaker than the other arm / hand. The "funny" thing is it isn't always the same arm. I never know lately if I am going to be a lefty or righty for the day. Gotta try to laugh about it... Hugs.

Hi hon,
Thank you for checking in on me. They are a little better, but I suspect that it is because I
haven’t been clacking away at my keyboard at work for four days. Lol. I have a neurologist appointment next week, so I am going to bring up the arm pain. I hope you’re doing well.

Eagerly awaiting our next spotlight member…
Best,
Laurie

I will. Thank you. You’re all so nice to check in.
Here is to a little ease up on pain for all of us tonight! Goodnight.
