I am a new member, so let me introduce myself. My name is Tammy, I was just recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia… I’m not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but my eyes, they are blurred vision and seeing at night is getting very scary, as I can not see the road, I can see the signs but not the road… I was reading on here that someone else was experiencing something like this. Would like to talk with them…Tammy
Hi Tammy
I have vision problems and had to use eye salve for 60 days, My eye doctor changed my eye glass prescription and my glasses are tinted and it changes with the light and this has helped a lot. I try not to drive at night my daughter does most of the driving now. Some meds can cause vision problems you may want to check the side effects of your meds.
Hi my name is Jeanne I know first being diagnosed with Fibro is a big diagnosis I would advise you go to google type in Fibromyalgia signs and symptoms it will tell you everything you may be asking yourself in easy to understand format. Fibro changes your whole life from the sport you play, to places you go to the relationships you have with partners. friends. and families. You have found a excellent site for support and will have a lot of questions you are doing exactly the right thing finding out what your dealing with Warm Hugs for Now Jeannie let me know how you get on
Welcome again, Tammy! Many of us have issues with our eyes. Some is caused by the side affects of medication and others are a symptom associated with fibro. Good news is it may be just a sign of getting older - that’s me! I did have severe eye issues when I was on lyrica and that’s one question my eye doctor always asks now - if I’m on lyrica, as they won’t get an accurate reading and could be a costly mistake getting new glasses or contacts.
Crynsugar posted a great article on how fibro can affect our vision. Always good to know!

Hi Tammy and welcome to the group! I too, have lots of trouble with my vision. My vision doesn't really get blurry, but I'd say it gets cloudy, as if I'm looking thru a film. I also have horribly dry eyes and take drops for that. It seems my vision flucuates constantly. Also, if you are taking any kind of medication, check and see if that might be the problem, cause some meds do affect your eyesight. Hope this helps!
Vicky
Hi Tammy and welcome.
I just had my eyes tested and over the last 3 years they have changed dramatically, probably mostly due to aging. I also have dry eyes and mouth as a result of the meds I take.
Dry eyes do make things blurry. Have you taken meds into consideration as the cause?
Fibro can just plain old mess up everything too. It could just be the culprit.
I would definitely go get the eyes checked though. Fibro or not it can be helped.
Yeah, good one Pam.
