Wanted to thank all of you!

Hi everybody - I want to thank all of you SO much for the wonderful support - emotionally and mentally that you have given me since I have joined your group! I especially want to thank those that responded to my frightening ordeal last night, as I fainted when I horrible spasm hit my shoulder down to my right leg. This website has been a real Godsend for me and I don't know what I would do without all of your support. I have told everyone, that mentally, I feel so uplifted in being able to share with you what I go through. Your advice and suggestions help me tremondously. The best part is, that I don't feel so alone anymore in my pain of Fibro. Long, gentle hugs to ALL of you!! Laurie

Hi Michele - This is Laurie. I am so sorry about your hand being swollen. I am not too clear on what you are asking? On the Homepage of this website - up above you will see a 'chat room' segment. But I have to tell you I had trouble with it to. I was only able to type 4 or 5 words and it wouldn't let me go any further. Is this what you are referring? Gentle hugs!

Gentle hugs back to you!

YOU'RE WELCOME LAURIE! Nice of you to say thank you. I think it makes most of us feel better if we can help others from our own experience. It seems to give our suffering some purpose, so we are not suffering in vain.

Hi sheila - what you wrote back to me is what I wanted to say! Helping others does make me feel better and gives my suffering some purpose. For as long as I can remember, I have always been the kind of person to want to make a positive difference in someone else's life. Sometimes trying to make a difference will come from my own experiences and other times it comes from the heart, because I care so much. I never forget those who have helped me through difficult times in my life. This is what it's all about - helping others and sharing what we all have been through. Hope to hear from you again! Thank you! Laurie

I wholeheartedly agree with you, Laurie. If it weren’t for this site I know I’d be going crazy with everything that goes on with our lives. It has almost a calming effect when I log on and read the different discussions and get ideas and interesting articles that help us. Knowing you aren’t the only person getting the “shunned by doctor” result, helps me keep looking for the one doc who understands Fibro. I have checked out a few other sites, but this is by far the friendliest and knowledgeable group! It’s my lifeline to the world and I always know someone will listen. Welcome

Laurie, I feel the same way. We are a good group of people.

Sandi - thanks so much for your reply to my Discussion segment. Everyday now, I look forward to hearing what other people have to see about our FIbro. In just the short week I have been on this site, the wealth of information I had gotten has really educated me even more. When I see my new Rheumy, She will probably be stunned at the information that I have on hand!! LOL Laurie

Hope you have an appointment with your Dr about those severe pains!

HI Sk - I see my doctor on Friday, the 11th. I just got out of bed and I can honestly say, my whole body is the sorest that I can remember since I have had Fibro. Hurts so bad! I am supposed to go out to dinner tonight to celebrate my son, Jason's birthday, I am just worried I won't make ii. Laurie

Hi Laurie. I just recently found this site and I agree. It's been so helpful. Nice to meet you and I hope we see each other some more!

Hi Michele. I'm sorry about your hands. It must be so uncomfortable. I am learning how to post too. I've only been around a few weeks. I too have written things that don't show up and I don't know why. I think I found my answer in clicking on "groups" up above. I picked a few that seem to pertain to me. When I have a question I go to my home page and click on "my boards". From there can you post a question? I have had some success that way.

I hope you feel better today.

L

Hi L-Kitty - Welcome to the group. I think this the best FIbro website I have ever seen. I have only been a member in a little over a week and I feel like I have known everyone for years! If I am really hurting when I get up in the morning, the first thing I do is go the website and I start to feel much better reading the comments of others. The great thing about this website, is that you can vent if you are having a bad day. Nobody judges you. It's also a great place to click onto for advice, suggestions and just wanting to talk to someone about what you are going through. I have learned so much so far, and have been writing some things down from the website so that I can present it to my doctor and get HIS ideas as well. I truly feel so much better having a group to talk to and I don't feel so alone anymore in dealing with my Fibro. Gentle hugs! Laurie
