I’m currently going through a mega flare up and nothing I do or don’t do is making any difference at all. I’ve read that some people have got some relief from symptoms by having regular massages. I was wondering if anyone has tried massage and whether it made a difference? Also if you do use it, how often would you recommend having one?
Hi Lorraine, Some do benefit from massage, while others can’t tolerate it or it makes them worse.
For me massage helps a lot, I have extra energy the next day and I do feel better ! However it took me a long time to find the right therapist and she has to be far more gentle than what I enjoyed pre- fibro from massage, I can’t tolerate a full hr either, where pre- fibro I would have an hr &. 1/2, now 45 min tops.
I would love to go monthly, but usually every 6 weeks.
Hope you find massage helpful… Drink a lot of water after & don’t be afraid to tell the therapist if she is to rough.
