Brain MRI results are in

I got the call from the Neurologist who gave me the results of my MRI... he told me everything was as he expected all aging... and then something about something because I smoke...he then tells me no treatment. Unless the tremors become to bad. Well I could not except this ...so I went this morning and picked up my results at the imaging center. All I can say is this Neurologist if now FIRED!!!!

I had to insist he order this MRI. I told him I believe I has MS. I did not go into great detail about all my symptoms and he did diagnose me as having action tremors... Still I had to have the MRI to put my mind at rest.

Well I was TICKED when I read the results... I have several foci in the deeper white matter mostly within the frontal and parietal lobes bi-laterally left greater than right.one which shows diffusion restriction but no contrast enhancement. This could represent a small acute or subacute microvascular infarct or other possibility this could represent a small active plaque. This small lesion should be handled clinically. All of these foci should be handled clinically.

It also says I have mild patchy bi-lateral ethmoidal sinusitis present... He never said anything about that is anything that would have caused concern... BUT I HAVE THE RESULTS IN MY HAND AND I AM CONCERNED!!!! Not long after that I got a call from the Neurologist who I wanted to see in the first place but waiting for my GP to send in the referral was driving me nutts... so I called someone else ( This NUT JOB) anyways somehow I got an appointment and it is tomorrow with my choice Neurologist... I did not know I had an appointment... and they called 2 days before to tell me.... anyways... This Neurologist specializes in MS... Maybe she can sort this out and help me.

I have to go tonight and sleep with a CPAP... It is going to be a long night...I now have wayyyy too much on my mind.

My word you have gone thru the ringer. It saddens my heart when I hear about these doctors who do not listen to their patients. Looking forward to how you doctor visit went.
Sending positive thoughts !

I am being sent to have a better MRI done. This Neurologist said it looks like I very well may have MS. I still will have to have other tests done to have a confirmed diagnoses... or just what these lesions are in my brain they may not be from MS. I was also sent to have my B-12 checked. That was a new one...lol... nobody has checked that before.

They are putting you through the ringer. It is so hard when we have to trot around all these doctors to get the diagnosis of why we feel so bad. Some days I als felt like a guine pig with all this doctors who in many cases either lack the best or up to date medical conditions. I am not attacking them and would never want to be one. I guess we all want a name to be given for what they find and a plan of action ASAP to help you.

Keep us all posted on the findings and wishing you a good outcome.
