I have this bruise on my left leg and no idea how it got there. The really weird thing is, while its bruise colored (mostly brown, some green) I have no soreness or tenderness or bump. It's like a bruise appeared but without any injury. Now, lately, my left knee (same leg) has been "popping" when I walk, bend or twist. I not only hear it pop, but feel it as well. Yesterday my knee hurt so bad, I had to ice it and wait for my anti-inflammatory to work. (1.5 hrs after I took it) I wonder if the bruise and the "popping" are all related? Anybody got any ideas? Sounds like you may be getting some x-rays done! I would think the Rheum may want a better look at those popping knees, especially if the anti-inflammatories are helping! Of all the things I take, they give me the best relief for arthritis, but because of taking them, I have to have fasting blood work done on a regular basis to check the liver and kidneys.
Be sure to talk to him/her about the bruising too, he may want to do some blood work before giving you an answer.
Fibro seems to affect so many of our body's systems, in so many strange ways, and sometimes it brings some company along! I hope you get some answers, and some relief!
With my nurses hat on! It would be worth checking this with your doc, especially as you take anti-inflammatory medication, this can cause unexplained bruising/bleeding under the skin.
Also a deficiency in Vit C and more importantly Vitamin K, which is needed for blood clotting, a simple blood test can check for your "clotting factor" levels.
Plus it can be a side-effect of some of the medication we take.
I bruise easily and have unexplained bruises appear at times, had my clotting factor and vit k levels checked, which were fine, so my doc put it down to my medication, but at least it put my mind at rest.
My cat bumped into my leg with his nose last week, and I have a bruise simply from that !!
I bruise very easily too, and they dont even hurt. I currently have a very angry looking one on my thigh and it’s been there for about two weeks. Not sure if it’s a symptom? I have had this problem for quite a while
