Does anyone suffer burning sense in
Your muscles suffering from fm
i have had fibro abou 37-38 years - some ok - other times terrible. never any “unidentified” pain. i could always say it was a sprain, or real fibro pain. the past year however, i have #8 or #9 pain in my butt, thighs and legs. it aches, it burns, its sharp, its dull and all tests are negative and no doc knows what to do. I know this is of no help to you, but maybe someone on here has an idea. good luck.
I might compare the burn similar to the burn felt when lifting weight. The muscles feel strained and bruised. Accompanied with server muscle fatigue.
I’ve had
The burning sensation throughout my body, that what prompted me to go to my Rheumatalogist. I’d been diagnosed with osteoarthritis and thought that it was one of the symptoms. When I went to see her, and mentioned the burning on both shoulders, both hips, buttocks, knees and feet, she diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. It keeps me awake half the night. She put me on meds
If it is what i experience, it could be the muscle fatigue that comes with fibromyalgia. All the muscle cells are contracted all the time is my understanding, which gives that muscle burn feeling. I read about using D-Ribose somewhere, then tried it. Supposedly it feeds your cells what they’re not getting otherwise. It also provides a bit more overall energy. It is a 5-carbon sugar, but does not affect your blood sugar levels. I put it in something drinkable, and just sip on it over a period. You don’t want to overdo it, because too much of it at once will cause diarrhea and/or headache. That said, I find it quite helpful, and order it via Amazon. I’m on probably my 6th or 7th big jar.
I suffer from burning muscles a lot because of the Fibromyalgia. It wakes me up at night and sometimes the only thing that helps is taking a bath or shower. It somehow distracts me from the pain, I think, by letting the hot water let me feel relief on other trigger points. It eventually comes back but sometimes the pain is less than what it was, but if it is the same pain level then at least I had a few minutes of relief, and I can always get back in the water for however long I want.
Thanks for the info, I will check the D-repose on line.
Hot showers do help, but I cannot spend my day in the shower unfortunately.
Osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia not a good combination
I hope it helps even a little bit. The only time I can spend most my time in the shower is on my days off or at night. I have heard that swimming might help. I’ve been considering signing up for a gym that has a pool for a little while. I think I am going to give it a try.
Sassyfrace, I have severe aching in my muscles and bones. Sites vary but hips, feet, forearms, and hands are most severe. It’s like waking up every morning with the achiness you get from the flu. I take a controlled substance prescribed by my pain specialist. My hands are sometimes burning with shooting pain. Without pain meds, I would not sleep. Some days, the pain meds don’t help all that much. Good luck.

I can sympathise with you because I have burning in my muscles also.I was given symbalta but could not take them,When I went to my Rhumotologisy I complained about leg pain.To make a long story short he prescribed Cymbalta. Not only did it take the burning away some what,it stoped the neuropathy due to diabetes.I am living with multiple illnesses. There are times when I Don’t know which end is up.The fibromyalgia is really starting to get worse lately.I find any straining such lifting carrying really adjitates things to the point I get sick to my stomach.I just keep pushing and deal with it.
laura622 I did swim and water aquatic it definitely helped because ur giant in the water. As long as the water is very warm.
I had to stop because they started keeping the water too cold which caused the Arthritis to flare up.The Dr. Told me the best thing for me was to move to a warm climate,my answer to him was give me the money and I am gone.

I am not familiar with this drink what exactly is it it may be worth me trying it.
Yes Hobbit
Sleeping is hard for me. I go to bed at the same time each night nothing changing I do not get to sleep until 2-3:00 in the morning.I fell as though I did not sleep when getting up in the morning.Sleep aids are useless.I have pain meds they just make the pain shareable.Nothing takes the pain away completely. It sucks. There are times when I laugh at myself.

Sassyfrace, hopefully this link takes you to it. There are a number of brands, I happen to like the Nutricost brand. There is a smaller size, but after I decided I liked it, this was the most cost-effective option. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00WAJU464/ref=mp_s_a_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1524797070&sr=8-3&keywords=d-ribose&dpPl=1&dpID=51vkId-sokL&ref=plSrch
I should also add that it’s a powder, a form of sugar that feeds the ATP in our cells. You just mix it into a drink of your choice. They’re exhausted from being contracted all the time. Even Rocky can only run up all those stairs so many times, his muscles are going to feel the burn too.
Who is Rocky?is it ur dog or ur husband running up the stairs?
Oh, Rocky is a cultural reference - a 1976 film starring Sylvester Stallone, in which his character, Rocky, runs up the stairs many times. He’s doing athletic training.
