I also have a heated mattress pad.
Hi Susan. My sister made me a wonderful pillow that supports me the way my mattress no longer does. It is a full length 'U' shaped body pillow that hugs you from head to toe. It is very bulky and your boyfriend may feel a bit rejected but I can't sleep without mine now. I used to love sleeping but now I can't as if I lie in one position for too long I get terrible pain in my shoulders back and hips. I thought I needed a new mattress but after spending a fortune on that, found no difference at all. Now I dread the thought of going to bed. Except for my pillow of course!! (Lucky I'm single! ;) )
I found the pillow you were talking about...it looks very comfortable to sleep on! I will have to wait to buy it when I get more money. My insurance doesn't pay for Lyrica, so my boyfriend has been buying it for me (150-200 dollars). It makes our financial situation a little sticky at times.
Yes, he sleeps so soundly that he doesn't even realize that he is consistently snoring. He feels bad that he's causing me to sleep on the couch, but he can't help it. Positively everything wakes me up. If I get too warm or cold, the cat meows, house pops, car passes by the house ... you name it. I will see my neurologist soon and bring up my sleeping problem. Hopefully, he can help me out.
Susan, you need a new mattress. Perhaps, as has been mentioned, your boyfriend has sleep apnea. A sleep study will determine whether he does or not.
Such a good question! About a year ago i went shopping for a new bed, the first and only one I laid on was a Tempurpedic Cloud that tilts the head and feet up. I almost cried, never though i would find something so comforting. If you can afford it, dont hesitate! I have never regreted getting this bed.
FlyGirl, about how much do those run? I have a queen memory foam with a memory foam topper. I dread nights.
I bought the TP cloud luxe, split king…cant remember exactly how much but im guessing it was about 5k. Sleep train usually has some kind of special going on…you can usually make a few intrest free payments on them. Its worth every penny. If you already have a memory foam it wouldnt take much of an adjustment…it was weird for me for a while. I sure wish insurance would cover these beds for us.
