Depressed and In Pain

Hi, everyone It seems this fibro stuff comes and goes in waves. For the past few weeks, I have been down on the couch in terrible pain that keeps getting worse each day. And, with my kids starting school next week (I start classes too), I wonder how I am going to be able to even make breakfast much less drive them too school. I am beginning to get depressed although I take Cymbalta. I have a history of depression. I have finally got an appt for the rheum on Oct. 7. Not sure what to do until then. It seems like a long ways off.

Thanks,

Susan

Alright! Finally a Rheum appointment in your future! Oh Susan, I hope you find 'your Doctor' who can help you get off that couch more often! I know that you wanted this fixed years ago, but just give him a little time to do all of the bloods, and exams, tests, and get to know you! I am very hopeful that you will have improvement in your life!

This is surely a step in the right direction!

I'm concerned about you feeling depressed even though you take Cymbalta. If you continue feeling depressed, please see your general dr. Please. You know depression is nothing to "play with" and depression can certainly cause physical pain and fatigue. (as if we're not already dealing with enough)

Hi Susan,
I am so sorry to hear that you are in such pain and your depression is increasing, all when you have such a busy time coming up with school starting. I agree with Rosie, can you see your PCP, is that who prescribes your Cymbalta? Maybe your PCP can do something to help make the wait to October more tolerable. Hopefully October will be here before you know it. I’m glad you posted, we’re always here to listen. Let us know how you are doing.
