Quite simply could anyone give me any information or help where I can get into contact with drug withdrawal and fibromyalgia experts in the UK please?
Sorry I did not respond to you but I am in the U.S
But I do wish you all the best

Lawrence,
I don't know if I can be of any help, but I will try. You can usually find info on drug and alcohol misuse at your local surgery or health centre. Failing this, look on-line, you may have to pay if it is a private clinic. Can you not ask your Doc, however hard it may be, he might be able to give you that information. To help meanwhile, hot showers and baths, gentle exercise, Immodium and movies, games etc to take your mind off it.
To find Fibromyalgia experts, you need to look on line too. I have read about them, but I know none are local to me. Sorry I cannot be of more help, I wish you well
Take care, Anne

we have several members from the uk hopefully they will be on soon
Hi, Lawrence. You certainly have some good support here and surely other UK members may offer support. I just consulted with another moderator who lives in UK who advised you can also search NHS services on their website:
http://www.nhs.uk/service-search
You need to enter “drug” in the find section and your town or postcode in the location section. Searching on “drug” will pull up drug-related services. Alot of help is in the charitable sector. If there is any reason you are hesitating going to ER as we had suggested earlier, you can also try going to a walk-in. She may also try to do some independent research for you with an online search for providers/help in your local area tomorrow.
Best of luck. Hang in there!
Hugs,
Laurie
Thank you so much guys. Feelin VERY alone at the moment and there seems to be genuinely caring people on here.
I have found a company called DART who I am seeing this week.
