Does anyone else get itchy nerve endings?

Hi all,

I know this sounds weird, but the other day, my finger tips on both hands itched from the inside. My fingers were very sensitive to anything they touched. I have had these little episodes for years, but was wondering if anyone else has this?

Hello nocogirl,

I personally haven't had the itchy fingers, they sometimes go numb and tingly. I have read other people talking about itchy skin on here. P'raps you could put itchy ifingers in the Search engine. Plus if it is something you are worrying about, please see Doc, or mention it at next appointment.

Take care, Anne

Hi nocogirl, it is a good idea to talk to your doctor about that so they are aware. I can relate to what you are saying, I get this sometimes on my fingers and my feet. I also (I know this sounds weird) sometimes feel like my lungs are itching, deep down. I have had that happen since I was a child and it just comes and goes occasionally. Anyway, just wanted you to know you aren't alone but also that you should consider talking to your doctor about this as he/she might want to do some testing. Hugs.

Yes, I as well get itchy fingers, and hands. At first I thought it could have been related to pre-diabetic condition. However, this quickly became not the issue. It is very uncomfortable when this occurs, and I find myself rubbing my fingers on my teeth to bring some abrasiveness to relieve. My neurologist could not explain reasons to why nerve endings itch as such. Ruled out neuropathy, but honestly I still wonder about such.

OMG I have horribly itchy palms and itchy feet, it comes and goes. But can keep me up all night and I now carry a stiff bristle hair brush to scratch with. But nothing really helps. I end up taking my gabapentin to put me to sleep at night. I mean this is a MISERABLE deep itch, not surface itch. I have scratch marks from scratching so hard. I am not diagnosed as Fibro yet, Neuro thinks I have it. I have my appointment on the 24th with a Rheumatologist. I don't know whats wrong, but I am sure it's an auto immune problem I have.

I also have that feeling.I do not know why they are there. I just knock it up to Fibromyalgia. Unluckly I only have a pain DR.now. I need to find more to help me.
