Hi Leanne - I live in Reno, Nevada. About 12 years ago my family and I decided to move here from California. I was born and raised in California as well. I was getting so sick of the traffic, people, in general and made the decision to move. I have a few friends here whom I have known for over 30 years In moving to Nevada, I was aware that this state definitely had ''the four seasons'' and I thought I would enjoy it, as my kids would. Well, we moved in the month of February. It was snowing when we arrived here - but it was just beautiful to look at. On the third night we had been in our new home (it was in the mountains, overlooking Truckee River) We had been warned that in the evening we would have one hell of a snow storm. My daughter, who was 17 at the time, took my car to visit a friend about 4 blocks away - because she had just had surgery. The weather was not bad - just a lot of snow.. Within about 20 to 30 minutes a huge blizzard started (just out of the Blue!!) and we were experiencing a ''whiteout'', It happened so fast! I called my daughter's friend to tell her to please stay overnight at her friend's house - but she had already left to come home. My then husband and I walked to the edge of the driveway looking for our daughter. I could barely see her - - but she was walking down the street, limping without the car near by. Coming home she experienced the whiteout and couldn't see where she was going and went over a deep embankment. The car landed on it's side, where the driver sits. She was able to crawl out of the passenger side and started walking home The reason I am telling this story, is that the past 32 years that I have had Fibro, the weather was starting to change every year. When this happens, my Fibro gets worse and worse in the winter and early spring. We stayed in our lovely home only 5 years, because the winter storms were getting really bad. When my ex-husband had to get up in the morning to go to work, he had to rise much earlier to snow blow the driveway. We finally moved to the ''floor'' of Reno and we are safe from heavy snow and blizzards where we used to live. We do get a lot of snow where I am now, but nothing in what we experienced in the mountains! Laurie
