I added the other name for it provigil i remember a post some time ago where some one was having good results with it for fatigue without many side effects. Discussing it with your doctor seems like a good ideal It is great that your husband is looking for stuff to help you
i read that is a drug originally used for narcolepsy and wakefulness. i dont know anyone who has tried it but hopefully you will find out more info. best of luck to you. HUGGGGS
No, I have not tried either one.
When I was still working, my doctor gave me a script for Nuvigil--the second generation of this drug--for concentration. It supposedly was developed, according to the nurse practitioner, for the military to improve concentration and keep people awake in the field. About all it did for me was make me feel like I was on speed (helped w/doing the laundry LOL) and my co-workers told me when they relieved me of my shift at 7 a.m. that my eyes looked like I had had a bad face lift. (gee, thanks guys LOL) Everyone reacts to drugs differently, though, and I agree with other posters that you should discuss it with your doctor. Once I had to quit working, my doctor refused to renew the script. Just as well, I probably couldn't afford to pay for that without insurance.
