Ok, I am not old but I sure went bat sh** crazy after my anesthesia. It was awful.

That's right, you DID say that! I guess that anesthesia can be pretty potent stuff.

I have had this happen to me several times. Always been a foggy day though. My wife was freaked the first time it happened. I know its a scary feeling.

Hi Everyone. I haven't had the exact same thing but several times I have been out, like 1/2 mile from my house, on the street I live on and have no idea where I am or how to drive my stick shift car. I have had to pull over and continue to tell myself 'You know where you are, you know where you are.' over and over until it slowley starts coming back to me. The only meds I take are pain pills and as few of them as I can get away with. On spacy days like that I just refuse to go out at all, I'd rather get lost in my house than out there, very scary. Just to make sure, I'd also advise talking to your Dr. Good Luck,

Scary, Jenni! But maybe our fibro fog really can trick us into forgetting that effectively, temporarily. Please though talk to your doctor to be sure it's nothing more than fibro fog. And if it is fibro fog...Jeez. That is one heck of a scary situation to suddenly find yourself in. You gals must be pretty tough and brave to weather something that mind-boggling.

I have had this happen to me too. It sure is scary to wake up and don't remember who or where you are. Normally it is on a foggy day, but has happened a couple of times on my sleep day. Since I am off the methadone and taking oxycontin I don't seem to have as many foggy days. I still have foggy days and days where my thinking just seems to be off, like my IQ dropped 20-30 points. Cant say which I hate more. Lori has told me there have been days when I don't know who she is or who the "kids" are, the dogs and cats, of course I don't remember those days at all. That seems to be my biggest issue anymore mentally. I just can not remember anything. I can remember stuff from 10-20 years ago, but cant remember last week or yesterday or our wedding 6 years ago.
