I have had Fibro and it was bad enough then a year ago after having my entire palm covered in psoriasis that cracks and bleeds and causes much pain my rheumy finally diagnosed me with PsA. I visited my sister's home and forgot to bandage my hand or put a glove over it as I usually do. My grand niece was there and she is a doll, and like all little ones she noticed my ugly palm and said,
what's that on your hand Aunt T? I tried to explain that is wasn't something she could get and yet she stook about six feet from me. I then felt like the lepers of old. I understood her backing off and quickly covered it up with a cloth. We were outside watching her play and she wanted me to make a mark with water on the driveway, and she said "oh, no, don't use that hand", use the good one. LOL It is something she checks on each time I visit her. I usually wear a splint over it with a sock to cushion it as I have carpal tunnel in both wrists. I rarely go out in public without it covered because of embarrassment and fear of staff and MRSA. I have been given every drug you can think of and all creams too to no avail. I hear they may be having good results with lasers. It is on the entire palm of my right hand and causes me to lose sleep as it is very painful. If anyone knows of a cure, I would welcome any info. And I have joined the PsA group.
Thank you,
