I know a lot of people say they were tested for MS before they got a definite diagnosis for fibro. What are some of the differences between the two. I have never been tested and I often wonder if I should. Thank you!

When I went to my dr and they thought I had MS. He ordered a MRI of the head. That came back fine. After that I was checked for fibromyalgia and that’s when they diagnosed me with fibro. The MS test was very easy. If you feel like you should be tested just tell your Dr that you want a MRI done.

Certainly I was tested for MS, as part of the process of elimination. From what I understand, MS does present similar symptoms, So I agree with Brandy, it is worth having a conversation with your Doc. Maybe you could ask why he hasn't done this, he may well have a very valid reason. Good luck
