Hi B, many have asked about these clinics, and I have never heard back from them, just not sure. Check out his credentials and his ratings, that should tell you something about the man and his work.

Hope it is just what you need and it does wonders for you!

Love and hugs,

SK

Thanks SK sorted exhausted everything I could find on the Internet, most reviews are good However a couple indicate that they’re just after your money, through costs for testing and services, and mandatory group sessions (sounds like one post I read). There were no reviews for 2012. He has lead and participated in a number of major studies, and appears to have been videoed talking about CFS and fibro. That may be why I’m kind of suspicious. However it won’t cost anything to check it out. I think I’m alert enough to know when I’m being conned. We’ll see.
Thanks for responding.Hope things are going well with you and you’re having more good days than bad.
Soft hugs
Barb

I personally don't have any experience with these things, but it sounds like an extremely well thought out practice. It seems to cover every aspect of FMS and CFS treatments you could possibly ask for. The only negative thing I notice is that the services are not covered by insurance. I'm not sure about Canada, but in the US, those services should be covered, especially if they are provided under a licensed physician. I would ask the office about it.

Otherwise, I wish I had something like this near me!

Barb, I agree it sounds wonderful but as SK says, investigate as much as you can. Try googling the name of the clinic along with the word "discussions", then do the same with the doctor's name. This may give you more feedback on the place. My other thought is, do these treatments work enough to justify the investment? It might be worth getting a few sessions in your local town of accupuncture or deep tissue massage to see if they help you, as it would be cheaper. Also, you could get the trigger point injections at a pain clinic and insurance would cover it. You might be able to get some of the other treatments at a pain clinic and have them covered, for instance mine does biofeedback and it's supposed to be covered.

If you do it, I hope it's a wonderful experience that helps a lot. And do let us know the outcome!

B2chi,

It sound like a smorgasborg of treatments all in one. Over the years I have tried most of those on the list, with no real benefits. Just remember, there is money to be made on chronic illnesses. Especially those, like fibromyalgia, that have no proven definitive origin. It's all up for grabs, and so is your out of pocket money. I would investigate it big time.

Ally

Is it the one in Ottawa, Ontario? thanks Charlie :)

Hi Chharlie, this one is in Maple Ridge, B.C just outside of Vancouver.

Hi Renie, thanks for the reply, the clinic themselves are identifying these as not being covered by the provincial medical plan. I know the plan doesn’t cover massage or physiotherapy, and kinesiology as I have checked these out. I do have additional medical insurance that will cover a small amount on the massage tharapy and physiotherapy. Thanks for the suggestion, I will investigate further to see if my additional insurance will cover some of it.

Yes, I am fortunate, the clinic is only about 7 blocks away, normally I’d have to go a lot further for this treatment.

Hi ally, thanks for your words of caution. I will investigate further, and at each step, : ) Barb

Whoops not sure what happened to my first reply, must have done something wrong. I am fortunate that the clinic is only about 7 blocks away, and is one of two pain management clinics in
My area. Will do more investigation and in addition find out if biofeedback is covered, as I must admit, I’d rather do that than take more pills, take more than enough for other conditions. Thanks for the tips.

I have had trigger point injections. They are a help, but not something I want to get often, as I distrust injections. Kinesiology--which seems like voodoo science--has definitely helped me, both by defining sensitivities and helping to decrease them.

I’ve had so many injections for my chronic pain drs insisted I needed that did not seem to help. I have avoided them with my fibro. I had one dr give me 8 shots in my neck and back in less then 15 min. Til I was about to pass out.
