What green rectangular pieces? There is nothing in MY wallet that looks like that! LMAO
Holy cra...mp. The size of a lemon? No wonder it hurt so much to eat and swallow! No wonder!
So now I'm sending my thoughts and prayers that it's benign, and it probably is, as the doctor says. Hey, I'm sorry though that you need surgery at all, MBP. That's a bummer. I hadn't realized that you'd need it but at it' size, I guess it needs to go. Also, I'm sorry you're gonna be stuck in the hospital for 5-7 days but on the other hand, if you have a bout of fatigue, you can always sleep guilt-free.
Good luck and keep us posed!
Ooh, too cool! That's incredibly sexy. Go ask Lauren Bacall. Or Kathleen Turner. Yessssss!
Wow!!! When I was reading your post I was getting so mad at that doctor and thinking oh god please don’t let me read that you didn’t go through with the upper endoscopy, I am a GI nurse and I know that any time some one has trouble swallowing it almost always something, sometimes a stricture or Barrett’s esophagus or even a tumor , thank god you had it done and didnt listen to that dr. I am praying for you to have an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery!!! Just keep thanking God as Jo says for the elevator angel ! That dr should be made aware that his diagnosis could have cost you your life, I would report him to the medical board !!! It’s just not right, any one in the medical field knows if you are having trouble swallowing it has to be Checked out !
It’s so sad that so many innocent people suffer because they think that dr’s know everything and they trust them, despite how they feel. Please keep us updated
Luv, hugs and prayers !!!
Omfg Sweetie!
No wonder that hurt like a wotsit! Weird that people who eat fish are more prone isn't it! I'm so glad you didn't say chocolate lmao. You might want to invest in a small freezer when you go in and load up with more icecream then. Being in hospital is boring but its all for a good cause. I wouldn't be surprised if you did lose weight in there if their foods anything like hospital food in England. Rock hard eggs and cats pee for soup etc. And their portions are baby sized lol. Or maybe I'm a greed pig? lol. Omg no toast!! lol. Just make sure your hubbys car is filled up so he can fetch a few munchies bless him.
Yeah and you know where I would have grabbed him if I were you? Omg not there! Round the throat "innit"!!
I just wanted to say I’m thinking of you and thank God you met Nurse Brandy!
So do you also like peanut butter pie?
Hugs,
Sunny
LOL. This thing sure is giving me some great excuses- sleep guilt free, eat ice cream guilt free. Maybe I’ll get some more food excuses?
Hells to the yeah! LMAO
Thank you. There is a special place in heaven for nurse Brandy. It is so discouraging when so many docs tell you it’s all in your head. I,even asked the GI doc before the procedure if the swallowing problem was caused by the supposed Conversion Disorder as the neuro said. He said it was absolutely not. Makes you lose faith in the docs when something like this happens. Thank you for what you do. I have always said that I will trust a nurse over a doc any day!
Hospital food sucks here too. I don’t think I will be eating much after the surgery the way he explained it. Will stock up on ice cream and milk shakes. Hugs to all.
Third time at the grocery store, no Chocolate marshmallow icecream, in any brand! I'm suffering withdrawls! Thought I had some marshmallow cream here, perhaps buried in the frige!
MB, wishing you a good day!
Yep, know all about it Pet, the second neurologist's complete diagnosis of me was 'STIFF'!! My body said "no, more to it than that"!
I feel so fortunate to have MY doctors! And I always am skeptical if I have to go outside of their care to another specialist!
How did they finally find this MB? x-ray, sonagram? Something that size is kinda hard to miss, don't you think, especially in the thorat?
Better to be safe than sorry, I am sure that if you recover more quickly than that he will send you home. Just be thankful it was found and it is going to be removed!
Word to the wise, if you have EVER gotten sick from the Anesthetic, ask the Surgeon to give you Phenergan before the surgery, last thing you need is to be vomiting or heaving with throat surgery.
As you know, I am not a Doctor, just someone who DOES get sick from it!
We are all pulling for you MB!
Love and hugs,
SK
Aren't we all a bunch of 'sweet fiends'? Punkin's cupcakes, chocolate peanut butter icecream, choclate marshmallow icecream, now peanut butter pie!
My grandmother made the best pies you ever ate, that little gal surely could bake, home made rolls, puddings, cakes, pies, sticky buns, doughnuts, cookies... Wonder I didn;t weigh a ton!
I miss my Nan, not only a sweet heart, she was about 90 pounds of dynamite! LOL! She was so crippled up from arthritis and osteoperosis, it was a crying shame, but her house was spotless, and there was always good home made food!
Oh no, withdrawals. Bleh! Hope you get your fix soon. LOL
Thanks SK.they foundit during an endoscopy and then followed that up with a chest CT. I also have to have a PET scan and a full barium swallow before the surgery. I have never gotten sick from anesthesia before but I think it is pretty standard that phergran or something similar is mixed in. I know when I had the endoscopy there was phernergran mixed in with the propofol. I am kinda teed off that it ok this long to find it. I had a CT of my chest in March and they didn’t see it.doc in Atlanta said they have better machines there. I don’t know- just happy to finally be told that it wasn’t all in my head. Have a great night. Hugs to all.
She sounds just like my grandma. 4’10", about 90 pounds soaking wet and a ball of fire. She lived with my parents for several years before she died so I got to see her more than when she lived in Michigan and I lioved her to death. I really miss her. But I have taken up baking when I feel like it. It is so much fun and I live making other people feel good.
Anything with peanut butter and/ or chocolate (preferably together) and anything made with sweet potatoes and I am happy, happy, happy!
AND pretty good pain medication!
