Finally!

Well, after months of waiting and cancelled appointments (by the hospital), I have finally been to see the consultant who (at this point)has diagnosed Fibromyalgia. They have done more blood tests to rule out muscle disease and Lupus, but I will have to wait for those results. I’m just glad that someone is finally taking it serious. I did get a call as soon as I got home though from another hospital advising me that they need to bring the oral biopsy forward that I need to have for Lichen Planus. Was supposed to be 7th June but now need to go next Tuesday. Don’t know if it is somehow related. Is there anyone else on here that suffers from Fibro also have Lichen Planus?
Xx

I am glad to hear you have been seen at the hospital at last. it was about time by the sounds of things. As for the lichen planus... I have not really heard of it before but after reading up on it and seeing the pictures I may have it on my legs... it looks really similar to the rash I have so I will be asking about that at the doctors.

Good luck with your biopsy and keep us informed. xx

I’ve suffered from fatigue and aching limbs for a couple of years but has just gradually got worse. I still work, but find that im more limited ti what I can do now. Its literally really achy joints (no swelling), feeling completely washed out after even doing small jobs round the house, frequent dizziness, forgetfulness, pretty much the usual fibro symptoms. I think probably the extra tests are just precautionary.
I hadn’t heard of Lichen Planus until I changed dentists and the new one immediately referred me. I knew I seemed to get quite a lot of ulcers in my mouth, but just thought I was run down. I will ask the consultant when I go for the biopsy if there could be a link x

Hey Curly Lou!

Glad you are getting some answers, hopefully some meds to battle this! Until this posting I was unfamiliar with it! I hope they are taking good care of you!

Wishing you well,

SK

What is lichen planus ? I’ve been tested for everything but that ?

Oh lord relate the circles lately under the eyes to pain and fatigue. And as far as the mouth sores that’s part of my internal shingles diagnosis. Or at least I hope. Depends on what this is though I guess. Could be more explainiable
