Good FM doc in Phoenix, Arizona area?

Every doc I've seen here does not "believe in" FMS, understand any of the symptoms or other conditions that come along with it, much less that it creates pain. I am beyond frustrated. Have been in tears so many times. Would leave the state, but I live on disability so can't afford to. Even thought of ending it all as an alternative to getting any kind of healthcare. So I need a knowledgeable, compassionate doc and hopefully one that takes medicare + ahcccs.

Liz don't feel like you are alone most doctors do not understand unless they have it too! I have fibro-my-algia along with psoriatic arthritis anyone who is healthy hasn't got a clue! Most health issues come with other problems not by themselves.

I consider my arthritis as the primary issue there for if I get this treated it will help the fibro-my-algia as a side affect.

People are very sight feel oriented fibro is hidden except for the protruding nerves and inability to function because of intense pain, I feel for you much I am a guy but want to end it sometimes too the pain is horrible !

Wow, I was just thinking that too-ending it all. I'm glad you wrote! Yes, it gets really old being in pain and it makes everything harder and more complicated, doesn't it. I get tired of feeling 80! But we can do this. We ARE doing this.

I get it--people look at us, and we look ok...no arms falling off or 1/2 a leg, etc. so they just don't understand the fact we are in sometimes horrible pain.

Doctors and the disability people think my arthritis is primary also. Mine isn't psoriatic though. I know that's bad, too. I kind of think my fibro is primary, because I didn't even have a diagnosis of arthritis until after my fibro diagnosis, by the same doctor, upon further testing. It seems to me like the fibro aggravates the places where I have arthritis.

Hang in there!
