Goosebumps

Hi everyone.

For the past 3-4 weeks I've had the feeling of constant goosebumps down my right side. No actual bumps, just the chilling tingling feeling. Every time something touches my leg it sets it off. Clothes and breeze included.

Has anyone else experienced this at all?

Well, surprisingly enough, you are soooooo not alone! Here is a discussion of this very topic:

Hope that helps you feel better on the subject.

Thanks so much for this. I'm amazed that others get it too! I was thinking I was losing the plot! I'm especially glad to have read the description of "cobwebs" that's just what it feels like. Creepy!

Again a big thank you!

Berry, you are so welcome! I have to admit, it sounded so odd to me that I wasn't sure if it was a fibro thing or not, but this discussion came up as my first hit. There were other hits out there too. Odd, huh? But definitely a fibro thing.

And yes, creepy! I don't envy you it, esp. the feeling of cobwebs. No clue as to why it happens though. Maybe your skin gets overly stimulated and this is the result...?

Hi Berrygus,

I get that too, and with mine, I think it is a nerve, it can be this 'chilling' feeling, sometimes it's burning, and sometimes it is so sensitive, I cannot stand anything to touch it. Usually the Lyrica will soothe this, not always.

My heart goes out to you that you suffer with TN. There is a great Ben's Friends group for that as well!

Wishing you well,

SK

Thanks SK,

Good to know I'm not alone in this. Yes I've found the group for TN and have learned a lot from the folks there too.

I'm very grateful to Ben for creating these groups. What would we do without him?

Hugs,

Berry

These groups have saved lives, I know! The isolationand depression that happens with these illnesses and injuries are crushing, with these groups, you can connect with people all over the world any time of day or night, without dressing up, going out, it's just the greatest idea. There's always a shoulder to lean on or a laugh. The guys work very hard to keep these going too.

Always make sure you click on the ads, they keep these groups in existence!

I hope you can get some answers to this and some relief too. Does the heating pad help any?

Yes, I’ve been having the "chills"too… just started 3 weeks ago…feels like when I have a fever…chills running up and down my body …at first I thought I was coming down with something…but will have it a few days straight…uncomfortable…sorry to hear that u do…I try to stay extra warm…take a warm bath or wrap up in a blanket…crank up the car heat if I,m on the road with chills… it seems tohelp. I have seen chills listed as a fibro symtom…warm and gentle hugs:)

Hi Staci Lynn,

I'm sorry that you're getting the "chills" too. The only good thing I can say about them is that we are almost in summer here so they do kind of cool me down a bit! I dread to think what the winter will be like with them though. I'm not good with winter at the best of times. :) I hope you are keeping warm.

Hugs

Berry
