Hi, everyone! I'm new.
I got a fibro diagnosis years ago. I was on tons of pain pills, had been pretty much booted to the curb by docs and the only place that would see me was a pain clinic.
My story is a bit unique in that I have found the source of my problem - well, most of it. My problem was food allergies.
I wrote two articles that I'd like to post, but wasn't sure if and where it might be acceptable to do so.
One article is called "My Search for the Truth about Fibromyalgia" - it outlines what I went through trying to figure out what was wrong with me and how I finally found out.
The other one is called "Fibromyalgia: Does it Really Exist?" This particular article addresses the fact that we are in pain - and that is not in question - but it asks why the medical profession isn't trying to heal us - and is only throwing drugs at our symptoms. I have a bit of a chip on my shoulder about this particular issue because I went from a very active person to someone who could barely function. Instead of trying to figure out WHY, I was given drug after drug that just made me sicker and sicker.
If you guys are interested, I'd be happy to share.
Thanks!
Gina
