SO last week I let my friend borrow my laptop multiple times. ..first of all I have never let anyone use my laptop outside of my home, NEVER. My Mac cost $1100 so I am very careful with it bcus these things are ridiculously expensive. . .but her comp broke so I let her take mine to her house bcus she had homework to do. Her children are DESTROYERS. they have no sense of respect for anything so as my comp was out of my hands I was nervous and hoping her destroyers would not spill anything on it or touch it or what have you and I even warned her of my uncomfy feeling of her kids being around it because I am sure they broke hers. . .but I let her keep it OVERNIGHT, she returns it, it's fine.
She buys a new PC the other day. . wait let me back up . .
My training in school requires me to use a PC for the online exams, even if I used Office for Mac, I still can't do the exams because the software isn't 100% Office. . I broke my PC last month (a wk after buying it for $278 from Best Buy) bcus I was angry after sitting for hrs doing work and the comp started to freeze, erasing all my work, I picked it up and chucked it at the wall *I have anger issues, thanx Fibro* so I've been going to school to do my training but it's exhausting (all my fault, I know)
So, I have 8 chapters to finish by wends, noon each one can take me up to 2 hours to complete. Thats 16-20 hours of online training & I have to go to school to do it which is brutal because it's noisy, people smelly cig breath or perfumes kills me,etc . .so I ask her if I can keep hers til wends morn and she can take mine. .NOW she has an ACER, an effing ACER. . it's plastic (yep I'm comparing the value of ours because it matters). . .she has a paper to write, I have training, I figure why not switch. . .she says, she doesn't "know" if she want me keeping it for that long. ..so I tell her that I let you keep my EXPENSIVE computer around your destroyer children (don't worry she knows her children destroy stuff) and take it to work around hair chemicals and I'm talking a trade for 48 hrs, in my home with my non-destroyer child, to do homework so I don't have to be in pain at school (not to mention guys I let her take my son's *getting repaired* netbook's charger to her house for her old broken comp to charge on before she got the new one and she can't find now, cus her children misplaced or destroyed it*
So I am livid! I have to get up, feet hurting, body in pain, get dressed, get on the bus, get on the train, get on another bus, get to school , wait forever for the comps to log on *if one is open* do the work with my headphones on with classical music playing so as to drown out the ppl who are talking who shouldn't be, in the lab. . .for abt 6 hours, then leave, go home, get my son and sit at home when i can be doing my training at home getting all of it done pretty much in one day. . I mean I helped her finish her paper before my own homework, I feel like I extended my hand so her work can be turned in on time and I ask for one favor so my work can be turn in on time and I get a NO. .I am in so much pain and it would be so nice for me to do it at home. .yes I broke my comp but she broke hers and I didn't make that a reason to not let her use mine, I know they say don't do things for ppl expecting to have them return the favor but I was blown away guys, blown away!!
