I feel like im running in circles! UPSET

okay thank you so much! i'll read about EDS

yes its really important to have people who understand and truly care!

Good. You have someone younger with whom to speak. A retired teacher is happy. I have gastroparesis- a stomach disease. I have really bad stomach pains some days. I don’t know if anyone else does? I also had ulcerative colitis before my large intestine and part of of my small was removed. I now have an ileostomy.

Good luck. Oh, I take Acifex for my stomach.

Hi Manders, I so hate to hear that someone so young is going through this (although it is awful at any age). I hope that you get some relief for your stomach problems- that really sucks. But, from what I understand, fibro affects every part of your body and the docs have no idea why. I hope you feel better and get some relief.

I can not imagine rock climbing at this point but I think it is wonderful that you can do it. As for me, I can do some physical activity but if I have a good day and exercise then I pay for it for day’s afterwards. I was always a very active person and it makes me crazy that walking for 20-30 minutes will have such an awful affect on me.

you r the youngest person i know that suffers from htis awful disease. sounds like u have had some really rough time. i am so sorry that you r having such a difficult time getting the help you need. i do suffer from some of the thing you do i dont remember what all i have listed in my profile as far as my diaginoses. i hope i can help you with some of the problems that you r having. i hope with the help from all that have already responed that u will find the drs u need so u can start getting the help u need. i live in Il so cant help much as far as drs go but i hope to b of some help to you.

i really hope that we can help you find the hope you need. if you can send me a message about exactlly what your stomach r annd how they feel and where the pain is at i hope that i can help. i have alot if things that cause adominal pain and know of many more.i can share with you what i know. if you want you could also start another discussion about just the adominal pain and give the info i listed and i am pretty sure others can help as well. i will let u decide which one either way i will do my best to help. i know alot about migraines too and different ways too help the pain even without medication.

i wish u the best of luck in finding the right drs and the right meds as well. i was happy to read u had someone near you that can help in finding dr how can help as well as those who were able to help with medication tips too.

i read your profile and i hope u dont have this horrriable disease. there r so many things that minic fibro. one of the pain test for fibro is the pressure point test. there r i think 18 spots all in different areas and u have to have pain in at least 11 i want to say. i myself responed to all 18 last time the test was done i dont rememer how many the first time. i had to have the test done just recently due to appling for disability.

i wrote all that because it is very possiable u dont have fibro but suffeer from something simular. i dont know of any fibro person who could rock climb with this disease maybe at first but not after having it for awhile. so many of us struggle to work even simple jobs and struggle to do any exercize. i am not judging u at all and i hope u find what is it u r struggling with so u can get the right treatment. its just that when u say u can rock climb it seems like something most of us would only dream of. it is possiable i guess to push yourself and b able to. do u find that u ache for days after u climb like u have the flu and its like u cant hardly move? for many fibro suffers just spending a holiday with can cause use to b in pain for days after so thats why i ask. i find after a weekend with my nephew it seems like it takes days to recover.

i would love to talk more about your symptoms with you and maybe help you figure out if its fibro or not and if seems like it may b somethings i hope to help u find out what so u can get relief.

Thanks for agreeing with me that any person with fibro could not rock climb. I would imagine doing exercises like the pool and tai chi. Of course, everyone is different, and some force themselves to do what others can't even imagine. This person must have lots of willpower. As for me, even when I go to the pool for an hour, and it feels good while I'm in the pool, afterwards I ache all over.

I was watching Dr. Oz show yesterday and Montel Williams was Dr. Oz' guest. First of all, he looks amazing! He feels like he has found the fountain of youth. He has MS and decided to do different alternative methods to help with his pain. His doctors told him he would be in a wheelchair, so he was on a mission not to let that happen. On the show, he shares what he has done to have been effective in treating his pain. He uses natural solutions that have significantly improved his quality of life. You should check it out. The show aired yesterday, July 24th and you can watch it online. I'm going to watch it again and see if I can incorporate some of the things he has suggested.

Aloha and have a wonderful day!

Just wanted to thank you for this comment. I added you as a friend, would love to message a bit.

Dear Aliana,

Please tell us what kind of Doctors you have seen, please. This information may help us to guide you to the right kind. Please stay as strong as you can, there are so many here when you need us!

Hope you are having a better day!

Hugs,

SK

i hvave seen horrible doctors who do not understand the illness. i've seen pain specialists, jaw specialists, a fibro doctor from columbia (who i love!!!) and on monday i am seeing a rheumy and friday i am seeing a differnt pain doctor!

thank you so much

xoxo

wow! thats amazing, thank you ill look it up now!

Ali, that's how mine feel too, minus the burning. So could be a fibro thing.

I really hope you feel better! i wish you all the luck in the world.

ive had a ulcer before and i thought it was just awful! i still have stomach pain but i have not been diagnosed with any of those

il look up that stomach medication thank you :)

Oh, so young for this illness! That is so unfair. You are just a kid, this shouldn't happen to young people.

Sorry, I'm just mad to hear about a kid going through all of this h#ll.

oh really! thank you

i was semi hoping it was so i wouldnt have anything else!

Yes, it kills me to see young people like you two suffering with this awful illness. You're both in the prime of your lives and have to live with this. Unfair!

I hope you both find some relief for the stomach issues. If it's irritable bowel, isn't that treatable? Of course, I'm not factoring in the dreaded FIBRO monster.

Oh good grief! I'm so sorry! It all sounds incredibly painful. I'm sure it was. I had a stomach ulcer - no biggie - and it was uncomfortable enough with bloating, pain, cramps, etc. I can't imagine having much, much, much worse issues with the stomach.

Is your gastroparesis treatable? What exactly is it? I've never heard of it before.

Aliana,
I am so sorry that you are feeling the things you are feeling...It breaks my heart that you are suffering so with pain at your age bc I have a 16 yr daughter AND I have fibro and cant imagine my daugher hurting the way that we do. I have hand and arm pain..its hard for me to open my hand all the way...im taking lyrica for my fibro and a pain med for the pain...however the pain med makes me sleep after about 2 hours. But like you said I feel like im going in circles...

does ANYONE have trouble concertrating on things...i have alway been a person who can multitask very good with a number of things and now its like I have to have 1 thing happening at a time?? i also am having trouble with alot of different sounds going on around me....i have researched that and i have found it normal BUT I SURE DO NOT FEEL NORMAL!!!

it has been so nice reading what yall are writing bc i now know that there is someone else out there that knows what it is like to hurt the moment you roll over in bed to get up. I also read from here that there are symtoms of being tired in the afternoon...that is so true...i want anything done i really try to do it in the mornings!!!

I just want to say thank you to everyone one here for caring for each other--it means alot to me!!!

Aliana--i pray that you will be able to have a day without pain...

hugs from the south!!!

i always feel extremely selfish because i can hear my mom crying over of sick i am! id never want her to feel bad for me but i cant help but talk about my pain or else i would explode!
i cant take lyrica or many other fibro drugs because of allergies and mental interactions.

and OMG me too i used to be able to do twenty things and once and now i can barely do one at a time. and me too i complain so much because its just so un-natural as if it cant possible be real or happening, i know what youre going through and i really wish you the best! you can get through it

it means the world to me how many people care and are replying trying to help me!!

thank you so much, i wish the same for you

xoxo
