Please let me know, how it goes, just please be patient, this is complicated, can't always be figured out right away, I know you want to be better years ago, but this is a very big and positive step in your recovery! Please give this Doctor a chance, he/she have a protocol to follow. So glad to hear this!
Mstallo, I don’t think any of us feel “normal”. I, like you, pretty much have to get done what I am going to do in the mornings because I get very tired in the afternoon. Sometimes I will get a little more energy in the evening if I have rested in the afternoon.
Thanks for the info about the sounds- I have been having the same problem and it drives me bananas! I also have a lot of confusion, brain fog, trouble finding words and periods where I just blank out. So frustrating for me cuz I am used to doing it all and keeping everything in my head.

Me too. My husband is a terrible speller and says that’s what they made spell check for. At least I have an excuse.
i forgot the name of the other disease that i have for the stomach and finger pain. I've been chasing help for so long. i don't take my pain pills anymore because they numbed my personality too. i have found eating totally organic, especially juicing vegetables. this has taken away 75% of my pain, my personality came back. I'm doing things i want. im not cured, but im not running around in circles anymore. no dairy also. this is much easier to do than u think. when i cheat, im flat back in bed and pain! let us know how your doing?

I know it hurts you that it hurts your Mom, but be assured that you are so fortunate to have a Mother who is caring and supportive. I am fortunate, as well. I have met many a sick person who only wished their Mom cared about them, believed them, helped them, just a little bit. Doesn't sound like your Mom will give up, she will find you the right care, please don't you give up until she does!

My gastrop is not curable and very painful when active. Basically, your food has a problem emptying from your stomach and like sours. I double up on the Acifex and drink pints of Maalox. My small intestine also had an obstruction. Those are hell. They don’t give me anything for pain.
i am so lucky, i honestly have the best mother ever out on the planet. she is so understanding and i love her to death!! my mom will never givve up and thats what makes her so amazing!

im not sure why its bad for fibro but i know it can cause acid more than regular so people with stomach pain not only fibro shoudlnt drink it!

I have been through many years of this, it seems so unnecessary and just infuriating after awhile. Anger is a motivator, but can also be a detirment. Please give them all the information that you can, as calmly as you can. Best thing to do is hand him your list, let him go over it, and let him take the lead, examine and ask questions, don't be mad if they want more blood tests, they know different ways to find things sometimes.
You have to figure that they have something like 12 years of education behind them, that is huge, but again, the protocol, hopefully someone was already to do the right bloodwork, you can only hope, if not they will do their own.
If you wear artificial fingernails I will go ahead and advise you to remove them and the glue, otherwise, chances are that you will make a 'dry run', and just have to wait for another appt. If they are like mine they want to look over your fingernails as they tell them things.
Make sure you tell the rheumy that you are going to a new pain Dr, they may want to know who.
Good luck, and if you know of any family history of autoimmune, let them know, like a grandmother with arthritis, try to find out what kind if you can.

Alaina, it is so great to have a mom like yours- always cherish her. It makes me sad to think that you are going through this at such a young age. But you can accomplish great things- you have your whole life ahead of you. I pray that you will find some help and that you do great with school.

Aliana, you sound like I did a while back. I was absolutely desperate for one day or a few hours pain free. I was losing my mind and was full of resentment, guilt, despair, etc. That is when I decided to take the pain pill route. I take a Percocette when I want to spend time with family, friends or just be natural and do normal things. Decided what is the sense of just existing and not living? The low dose I take lasts for about 4-6 hours but it feels wonderful just to be able to walk, and even run around the house doing chores or go shopping like other people. Of course it doesn't cure anything, but just having that short period of relief cheers me up. It gives me hope - not hope that I will get better but hope that I can look forward to a tomorrow with a few hours that are pain free. One just has to be careful not to become dependent.
Yes, I have finger pain also - especially when rain is on the horizon. Unfortunately, no suggestion for relief. I agree with Petunia Girl that the stomach pain MAY be side effects of pills. Here is hoping you are having a better day.
