strong textI am attempting to figure out the why doctors do nothing except to continue to prescribe medications. I do understand mostly as they are reimbursed from pharmaceutical companies. How is it they continue to pat themselves on the back to make millions of dollars when most of the medications they know will not work?
Sorry if i am offending you but it is a simple fact of life. I know that my thyroid has something to do with my condition as the symptoms are so very similar.
I wish all who are in this condition many many blessing. I so feel for all as i have been this unforgiving pain for 21 yr in Feb 2017
Ultimately the onus is on us.
“there is no magic pill”…oh, I wish there was. Medications are mostly ‘bandaids’, offering some relief but often with nasty side effects. I don’t think my GP likes to see me - lol - because he is unable to help me. I don’t want the fibro drugs - tried some, felt worse. Doctors seem to be trained to dispense or send you for tests - once that is done, what else can they do ?
I have tried some natural practitioners - massage was a painful experience but ultimately helpful for neck and shoulder pain. However, the practitioner was an intuitive and started ‘prescribing’ things a little outside the box, had some weird theories as to why we are sick. Not sure that part was helpful !
Stretching, eating clean, getting sleep, resting as needed, staying hydrated - that’s what I would prescribe. Having said that, I would like to try CBD oil. Sadly, we aren’t curable - we can only try and manage ourselves, knowing we will still have flares and pain.
