Last esophagus blocks: 30th severe again twice, first moderate, second severe, both from cold stuff (yogurt and aloe vera, but a few supp pills came out again too, there’s often a dark brown one which is a suspicious lump), 29th fairly severe, but dissolved it quick, later moderate, dissolved it fairly quick. 28th slight, Nov 24th only slight, but definitely due to cold liquids. Nov 22nd (from cold yogurt+supps). Nov 20th.
My wife is now worrying so much that my esophagus may be starting to get malignant, that I’ve researched and found a good internet book article (StatPearls) on pubmed by Watts & Patel, 2021 about the differential diagnosis of Schatzi’s rings, saying “The timing of symptoms is important if there is more progressive dysphagia of solids to eventual liquids. This is concerning for worsening obstruction, and clinicians should have a high suspicion for malignancy. With such an extensive differential, any new-onset dysphagia should be evaluated further, especially to rule out more concerning causes like a malignancy.” So I’ll now be going to hospital for a day or two for dilation and re-diagnosing. I think hospital will actually be OK at the moment as I am sleeping well.
