2022-01-06, Thursday - waiting for DAO result; low histamine diet on ice…

v4: 17:30 Successor of my sleep lab psychiatrist was impressed and completely out of her depth with my problems
v3: 14:10 jab-sfx = histamine intolerance, allergic? DAO-level being checked, diet would decrease QoL, my GP says…
v2: 22:35: Nope, ALL except 2 of my 25 jab-sfx-symptoms as well as 4 more I hadn’t seen clearly before can be explained by histamine intolerance:bangbang:
v1: 22:05: well, I’d have about 10 histamine intolerance symptoms etc…

Treatments

THERAPIES:

  1. Going to therapy would take the 1-2h of activity I have on that day and the following - I just don’t have the time and energy for that.
  2. My GP recommended not to do a low histamine diet, cos it’d decrease my quality of life too much, just wait for the DAO result and then taking it as a supp if it’s reduced. However what if it doesn’t or doesn’t help??
  3. The successor of my sleep lab psychiatrist was impressed and completely out of her depth with my problems, e.g. which docs to consult or direct ideas on histamine intolerance as jab-sfx (like: NAC, vit. C/ascorbic acid & theophylline blocking DAO, the enzyme needed to decompose histamine, so why should I take them together to decrease histamine??)
Supps to CHANGE: Wash capsule machine…:face_with_monocle: Up next: Try leaving off NAC and vitamin C, cos of the DAO contradiction, that I’m sposed to be taking them, but according to studies they decrease DAO…

Jab-sfx:
Research-search today:

OK, my jab-sfx apparently may be caused by histamine, so here comes a symptom comparison:

All the flu-like and similar-to-fibro symptoms fit…:

Also the bouts of feeling well.
Skin: itchy, burning, showering & therapy very unpleasant.
Fatigue: exhaustion, exhaustibility, movement, short breathed, stiffer.
Chronic pain: ache from too much movement, sore muscle, e.g. in backside sometimes.
Fluey: Congested nose, sore throat, feverish-feeling, headaches sometimes.
Cold/heat: Usually cold, but then very suddenly terrible heat.
GI: Nausea. Esophagus blocks (similar to eosinophilic esophagitis).
Only thing I can’t find is burnt tongue (unless “burnt mouth”) or seizures (caused by antihistamines or low levels of histamine).
OTOH 4 symptoms I hadn’t seen before are the strange bouts of feeling well, the congested nose when I feel “histaminey”, the sudden bouts of overheating and the increased & changed esophagus blocks while eating.

So: it does seem to be a belated histamine reaction, but not local, like some studies suggest.

Looking at the studies etc. (needs to be re-arranged better)

For histamine, verywellhealth recommends copper - haven’t tried that yet. One of the symptoms they name and I keep having esp. when also feeling overheated and itchy & burning is: a “congested nose”. A histamine challenge may also help diagnose an intolerance. Symptoms may be reduced by 3-4 weeks.
Paleoplan says 14-30 days. Further symptoms I have are nausea and fatigue.
Healinghistamine lists chronic pain, difficulty regulating body temperature, as well as the skin problems like itching mentioned already, also acid & IBS (IBD) even tho I have that under control, B12 which is usually a bit too low unless I supplement, shortness of breath, brain fog, skin on fire (eye problems?)1

On healinghistamine and on a German site it says theophylline blocks DAO. I then don’t understand why I should be supplementing it according to Klimas, as DAO is necessary to get histamine down??
Same goes for vitamin C and NAC according to another study. So I’m stopping them.
