Have a nice evening. Smile at your five year old child everytime she enters the room and make her your sunshine! Thinking of you.
Hello there - it makes me so upset to think about what you have been through both with loosing your job and your insurance and taking care of yourself and family. Having been through tough times with an employer I really feel for you. I am going to send some information on resources that I know of in Colorado that may be able to help. (I see you’re from Littleton on your profile). Sending big hugs and well wishes your way… Sunflower
Hi, I can help you with seeking legal and/or a job working at home. I help people like ourselves that have been turned down by our insurance companies. I work for Ameriplan Corporation, and we sell health/dental membership plans to individuals, families and businesses. We provide the leads listing, you need a land line phone, computer, internet service, and a willingness to help others. We make customer service phone calls to people and offer them our plans. There are so many people out in our world, that have lost their health insurance, and even thought our plans are not insurance, they are just as good, if not better.
It is required that you become a member too, you can pick our Total Health Plan, which is our best seller. It cost $49.95 per month, and it has a one-time registration fee of $30. Some weeks, I'm in so much pain I can only work a 2 hours a day. The hours are flexible, of course the more you work, the more money you can make. And, this job would be perfect for you after you have the baby too. I can send you a listing of some of the other places to check out for employment too. Contact me here, or by email ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
I look forward to conversing with you, or anyone else.
Thank you very much I really appreciate any advise of where I should go from here!!
I truly appreciate everyones help, guidance and prayers. It really feels good to know I am not alone and that people understand the struggles I go through and have been there yourselves. My friends and family are very understanding and supportive but only know how I feel based off how I describe the pain and don't really know what its like.
Its surprising how a little emotional support can make such a huge difference and I am truly very grateful for all the support you are all giving me.
Thank you!
Thanks Teresa,
This is great info for all! Could I ask you to place this info on 'your page', perhaps somewhere in your story, both the insurance info and the work from home info. This is great!
Hope you are having a pain free day!

Hello Jmelopez,
Our support will STAY with you, as long as you can get to your computer, there is almost always someone here, as none sleep well often. No one, as loving and as great as they are, can fully understand what we go through, even our Doctors, as good as they can be, unless they suffer it, then it is only still a surface understanding.
This discussion will go on and on because we all relate to either losing a job, or fear of losing it!
Our continued concern for your health and well being, come to us anytime!
SK
Hi Teresa, this sounds like something I may be interested in too. Thanks for the info; I know someone who recently started working for this company, also, but I don't know much about it. Thanks and enjoy your weekend.
I am so sorry all of this is happening to you. I can really relate. I am covered under FMLA and have been for a couple of years now. Given the economic climate, my employer is really gunning for a way to get rid of me. I know I cost my employer money because I'm a full time employee that usually works less than full time, but they have to continue paying me full time benefits. Fortunately I am in a union, and I have documentation to prove that I have complied with all of the rules. When you are employed again, apply for FMLA as soon as you qualify (varies based on many things - you'll have to do your homework). In the meantime, I encourage you to check out a website called Modest Needs. It's a wonderful organization and it may be able to help out with some of your financial worries.
Since you already have a child, you know how important prenatal care is. I would suggest you make Google your friend and see if you can find any organizations that can help you get the care you need. Your county health service is another option.
Please remember that we are all here to support you. I will be sending you thoughts of peace and strength.

Hi Jmelopez,
After many years of not being able to work more hours than part time I found a work schedule that allowed me to work full time (5 years). I was able to work through the pregnancy because the fm went into remission but after my son was born I was missing days left and right and finally they had to let me go.
You can apply for disabilty. If they are able to verify your absences it might help you. But remember to include any doctor visits that can substantiate your reason for absences. I applied in December and even though I was not accepted until March they made the checks retroactive. I had received unemployment before that. If I understand it correctly prenatal care is available to low income parents. Ask about it through transitional assistance. Depending upon your state they may use a different title for transitional assistance but you can ask the local hospital.
One doctor said you can check it out through your local dept. of health. You may qualify for free prenatal care if your husband's salary falls under the amount to qualify. Sometimes they turn people down for this reason. For an appication call 1-800-■■■■■■■■. This is Colorado
I hope this was helpful
I worked at The Dept. of Social Services while I was in college during the summers. There is nothing shameful about starting here for services. Even if you do not qualify, they have a lot of information. You can also get signed up for transportation for drs office visits or other places-it varies by state if you qualify.
There are soup kitchens, Christian Ministiies, etc. Each state has their own names, and they are usually listed in the front of the phone book.
Your 5 year old can get a lot of help at school. Free clothes, shoes, school supplies through the guidance office. Have you gotten her on free lunch? You don’t have to answer. Just a suggestion.
I am a 54 year old disabled, retired middle school teacher in NC. I suffer with fibro also and can’t plan for anything. I had to stop teaching with 25 years in because I was unable to work, and my dr said I could not go back. However, in NC if you are determined disabled you get full retirement. At least that was a plus. My thoughts are with you.
Hi Tricky,
This is very helpful info for all, thank you for sharing it with us!
Hope you and Jme are having a pain free day!
SK
Thanks!
