Seems like there is no place I can work. I had to leave my last job because they would not work with me and my doctor on an acceptable schedule. I was working 4pm - 1 or 1:30 am. 5 days a week. They would not even acknowledge my request except to say those would be my hours for the next few years. loved the medical coverage and paycheque but with my FIBRO sleep disorder I was going on little to no sleep for weeks on end. My husband is an amputee and disabled so I also have to take care of him.
This is the fourth job in three years I’ve been unable to handle.
Worried and frustrated.
Sorry to hear that. Finding the right job is hard with fibro. Since I was dx with fibro I have dreamed of owning a temp agency with jobs for people with fibro and other chronic illnesses. Wish something like that existed.
That's a great idea. It's so hard to keep a job when you have days or weeks at a time it's a major chore just to get dressed or even wear clothes.
Oh Cheryl,
I can only imagine what you must go through trying to find someone willing to make these concessions. The fewer and fewer jobs we have, the more the businesses can make up their own rules. KJ, has a great idea, wouldn't it be nice, it's a great idea, takes a lot of capital to even contemplate it though.
Have you considered going to a temp agency? It may not be a practical idea, but I thought I'd throw it out there!
Wishing you well,
SK
