I have never written on this site before but I try to read all the discussions I can. It is nice to know I am not "imagining my Pain"
I had a knee replacement 3 months ago. I am still in therapy , still using a cane . I am far behind on my recovery. I do the exercises they tell me to. Most of the time it is not my knee that hurts its the rest of my body. So I usually just quit, I try to push myself but it is like my whole body is rebelling. Has anyone else had this surgery. How did you do in recoveery?
Had my second knee replacement six months ago. As with the first it threw me into a fibro flare. Worse with second knee. All you can do is try to stay positive and fight your way through each day. My PT said if nothing else, just walk as much as you can. At 6 months out it is better but certainly not perfect but then again with fibro there is no such thing as perfect. Good luck and keep walking!
Hi Maizielou, just stopping in to say hello and I hope your knee recovery is getting better. It still seems like you will be needing more healing and I know it is not easy to be patient . My hubby had some stuff done to his knee and he does not have fibro and the recovery did take some time . I wish you all the best and send you
Ps . I just want to tell you in my opinion that everyone does not heal at the same rate . Some need more time than others so please do not feel discouraged . My husband had arthroscopic knee surgery for two torn miniscuses, some clean up for osteoarthritis and they did a micro fracturing which was to drill some tiny holes in the bone to ‘grow’ some cartlidge but of course it will never be the same . He is also getting Orthovisc gel injections every six months plus steroid shots. My husband happenes to be a good patient and when people told me he should be up and about sooner than he was really ticked me off . So it is best not to listen to people who are not positive and helpful . As I said everyone heals at their own rate . No case is exactly the same .
Thank you for the encouraging words. I know better than to compare my recovery to others. I am just frustrated and trying to explain the added pain of the Fibro to my Dr is useless. sometimes I am not even sure what is hurting. I hope your husband continues to improve, thanks for the huggs

Maizielou said:Thank you i was expecting the pain from the surgery. This is my first surgery since I have had Fibro, i really thought something was wrong with the surgery. But once the flare up was over I realized what it was and relaxed until the next one hit. I am trying to be calm. and work on the knee in spite of the other complications. I will try walking more thanks for the advice
