Can you tell me your experience with this medication. I don’t want to gain weight. I tried Savella but it made my migraines worse.

I was put on this medication when I injured my sacral joint and was having nerve pain in my legs. I could not tolerate it. I have never been high but I think it made me feel that way. I was dizzy, bumping into walls and basically I wasn't in pain but I felt unsafe. All we fibromyalgia suffers need is a broken bone. So if you try it just be mindful of how you feel and be careful as with any medication. Good luck. And as I am a "BIG" gal. I just want to say....Remember you are beautiful and it is a little known fact some people actually like some meat on the bone.

hi.. i am rather petite so the weight gain didnt work for me. i had to switch to some other anti epileptic drug as i am being treated for gran mal seizures. keep in mind everyone reacts differently to drugs so it is on an indivial basis. i know people who have gained and others have not. best of luck to you. huggggs

I was on Lyrica for several years and could really tell a difference. However; I had to stop taking it back in the summer because it is one of the higher tiered drugs on my health insurance. It was $75 plus you could only get it filled locally 2 x's per year and then you have to use the mail order pharmacy. A 3 month supply was going to be $175 which is a discount but it was just too much with all my other meds I take. I am now on a low dose of Ultram to help with the pain, but it doesn't work very well.

Hi x I take 375 mg of lycria , I have put a little w eight on , it sometimes can take the edge of the pain . It doesnt help putting weight on when I developed a sweet tooth since ive had fm and everything else that goes with it xx hugs angie xxxx

I am very happy with it. No weight gain for me. Very little appetite with this and cymbalta. The first month is adjusting to the side affects which were a little nausea and dizziness. I’m about to increase right now I’m on 3 times a day 50 mg. but the pain relief is amazing.

I put on a bit of weight with it but it definitely helped with the pain. It also made me very dizzy for a month or so. But I wouldn't do without it. I hope that if you take it, it works well for you.
