can anyone give me advice about night sweats? I have them almost every night and have to change nightclothes at least every 3 hours.
When I spoke to my doctor he said this was generally a hormonal problem. I get the Depovera injection every 3 months and therefore my hormones should be stable and constant. (my GP agreed)
I can find no pattern to my sweats - I've tried windows open and closed, bedclothes on/off etc etc.
Mine was also do to medication. You could have your hormone levels checked just to be sure. I tried the same things you have and found nothing that helped. Hopefully some one will have a good suggestion.
I have awful night sweats, but also hot spells and sweating through the day.
I go through about 5 or 6 sets of nightclothes every night and always wake up freezing!
I've had my thyroid tested about a million times previously and it always comes back normal. Actually, I've had loads of tests for different things and the results always say there is nothing wrong with me!
I'll let you know the results anyway, but don't be making any bets!
hi jojo.. i hope that injection will help you. i did not take any HRT for my own personal health reasons. I also changed by bed clothes all night long, windows and ac open and closed. was a bummer. i know. I wish you all the best.
Caffeine usage? I know it causes me to get sudden sweats in the PM hours. If it happens after eating chocolate, it could be diabetes related.
Oh, looks like Lovett may be onto something. Cymbalta does make some people sweat terribly. There are even discussions in other fibro groups about this issue.
