Oh geeze.....results on the knees

So its official I have to have an orthotic for my right foot and knee braces for both. My right heal has kicked out right making my arch fall which in turn makes me knock kneed on the right leg. So my knee cap doesn’t move up n down like it should it moves left to right causing severe and irreversable damage. Total knee cap replacement comeing sometime in my future

You know when you go to the docs office and they have the knee model? One end is the perfect knee the other is the bad knee. Well…im the bad knee.

Hows everyone today?

Gentle hugs

Hi Punkin,

This is not great news, but it can be corrected, I'm a little knock kneed too, but I think mine is joint damage bothering me. Did he say anything about the horendous hours you have been working???? Or doesn't he know?

I'm concerned for you, girlfriend!'

Love and hugs,

SK

Hi Punkin,
I’m glad you got it checked out, sounds like maybe you can hang in a little longer before surgery, is it possible that the brace & orthotic can correct this ? Or is that to just help with the pain and possible progression of it getting worse… Did I say that right lol
Stay strong, I think an orthopedic dr maybe added to my list in the future…
Hugs & blessings

Sk yeah he knows about the hours. But because of my ability to be up and down at my leisure hes not worried about it.

Dee, the damage that’s already done is perm. And irreversable however the orthotics can correct the problem and help with the aftercare of the surgery. The knee braces are to stabilize the knee caps.

Heres what I think hes doing without saying it. I need the surgery and I need it sooner than later but how many people go in and say they will do the other stuff to correct the problem but don’t and get the surgery with no intention of getting the long term solution taken care of. So he wants to make sure I get the orthotics and braces so that he knows I am commited to solving the problem. Anyways, just my theory on it.

Have a goooood day!

Hi again, Punkin,

Your knee problem sounds painful as all heck. And what a shame that the way that you walk has caused this irreversible damage to your kneecap. But at least surgery can correct it. And the braces are ok - I wear them everyday at work. They do help the kneecaps. In fact, I just saw an ortho who was surprised I already had them and wondered how I'd got them. At the drugstore! But they are ok to wear, Punkin. Beats messing your knee up even more.

Orthotics aren't bad either. Your foot gets used to them pretty quickly. I say this with confidence because I have flat feet and could never, ever tolerate any kind of an arch in my shoe, as it'd give my horrible spasms in my arch. But after a few minutes of the orthotic feeling weird, it then felt good!

All in all, it sounds like you're on a good road in respect to your messed up knee. I'm sorry that you have to have surgery to correct it but hooray for the fact that surgery can correct it!

You go girl,

Petunia

Good thinking, Punkin!

Yes, there is good news, that being that you know what is causing it and how to correct it! Many of us go through hell for years, decades and even when/if we do find out the why, there is little that can be done to correct it! Glad you are going the distance and doing it right! Cheers to you, Punkin!
