To those of you younger than retiring age if you happen to be collecting benefits how were you successful? As much as I enjoy working, there are many says that are an overwhelming challenge. Yesterday for instance, I had the tingling in my face, lips, tongue, hands, calves and feet and I was extra dizzy with a headache and severe spinal pain.
I work for Great Clips and calling off is never an option. I have been looking for a new job for close to a year with no success. I am currently taking classes for billing and coding.
I don’t want to quit working because it keeps my mind and body busy but I have far more bad than good days.
I have to have an income or we would be homeless.
Arthritis Dr says she should be able to help me tolerate daily living so I can have a “normal” life.
Not sure what to do or how to do it.
Any suggestions? I live in AZ
I am wondering about this as well. I am a 28 year old with 3 kids and a husband at home. I am the only person working since my husband stays home with the kids. I make a decent hourly wage, but over the past year, I have pretty much missed at least one day per week. We are not able to make ends meet anymore. Our bills are more than ever before and I don't know how we are even going to pay our rent this month. It's ridiculous how much less money I brought in this year. My husband could not get a job and make the same amount of money as I do without going to school first, so he is going to start school in January so that we can be on our way to a better situation. I am so mad that I cannot keep up with the bills we have. Anyone know if I could draw anything for disability or SS while I am still working? I don't want to totally stop working just yet.
My understanding is that you need a secondary condition in addition to the fibro as in my case, degenerative osteoarthritis of the spine. I am only 41 and dear my condition will worsen over time. I am sorry you are only 28 with small children dealing with this. I don’t know what I need to do to just get started. I do know the government is difficult to get money from when you are under 65.
