Switching physicians and "going back to ground zero over and over..."

I have read and read and all that I read makes me go back time and again to the immune system. Mine is defunct. I am exhausted from trying to find answers on my own. I am also exasperated with

having the "burden of proof" laid upon us every time we switch physicians. I am weary of the same tests being performed over and over with no new results. Why don't physicians share the info already available? Going back to ground zero over and over again is ridiculous.

Dear treasure,

You are so right about this, hopefully you will soon find 'your Doctor', and will not have to keep starting over time and time again! Stay hopeful, stay focused, make sure you are giving the Doctors a chance to get to know you long enough to treat you, and realize that these are the methods they have been taught to diagnose. Also realize that sometimes it takes time for things to show up on blood tests, don't ask me why, I don't understand either.

It took a year or more of blood tests to finally show the first autoimmune disease with me, which was Sjogren's syndrome, and when It finally did show it came up 'false positive', the next time the number were so high they were literally 'off the charts', then to confirm this the test was repeated, and again, off the charts.

It took 7 long years for the right Rheumatologist to diagnose Psoriatic arthritis, and one reason for this is the fact that I do not and have never had Psoriasis.

As difficult as it is, persistence is absolutely necessary.

I hope you soon find the right answers, the right Doctor, the right treatment.

Sending love and hugs,

SK
