Positive changes on the horizon

Hi All,

I saw a new Rheumatologist on 2/24/2015 and got all my comprehensive lab work done today. I really liked the new Rheumy, she was very caring and really listened to my needs. After my lab work is sent to her, I will have a more lengthy appointment to talk about treatment options. She also changed my Arthritis diagnosis from Ankylosing Spondalytis Arthritis to Psoriatic Arthritis, along with Fibro as well (which didn't change).

I will be starting a new clean eating and anti-inflammatory diet next week as well. Wish me luck! I'm actually really looking forward to starting this new diet and seeing how it can help my Fibro and Arthritis. I'm hoping positive changes will occur and I will start to feel better : ) My hands have recently been swollen because the inflammation in my body has reached a new high marker.

I'm really excited for potential treatment options and to have a Rheumy that actually cares about me as a person and my personal journey to help recommend a treatment plan tailored to my needs.

Has anyone tried the clean eating and/or anti-inflammatory diet?

Hugs,

Sara

I am really proud of you Sara! Sounds like you are moving in a positive direction and I am happy the new MD is so understanding. Hugs!!

Hi Sara,

So glad you have a good Rheumy. I have not tried the clean eating or anti-inflammatory diet.

Wish you luck and please let me know how it works for you.

Gentle hugs.
