Tremors

I am experiencing a new and different symptom, and I wonder if anyone here has experienced the same. There seem to be so many things related to this illness.

I can either be sitting in a chair wide awake or laying in bed sleeping, but I will suddenly experience one long tremor that rumbles every muscle in my body. It has forced me to sit up when sleeping and stand up when I'm sitting. I describe it as an "asthmatic panic attack" because it seems like you knocked the wind out of me, forcing me to panic because I have no air, so I jump up trying to escape. Sound familiar to anyone? I would love to know what it is, if you have.

Sad we have to ask each other, but I never seem to get answers from the doctors. If it's just part of fibro, then I won't think bad things. My husband thinks I'm just falling asleep and catching myself, but sometimes I know I am wide awake when it happens.

Thanks, Tammy

I have the same tremors and yes it is embarrassing . Some nights I will have them in the middle of the night and I feel like I am going to fall right of bed.I can't get my doctor to give me muscle relaxers so I get no relief from it. All we can do is hang in there until new studies are found..

I also get tremors at times but not as extreme as what you are describing.

I GET TREMORS BUT NOT WHOLE BODY ONES USUALLY MY HANDS I WAS AT MY SISTERS HOUSE LAST TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY MY ALJ HEARING WAS WEDNESDAY WE WERE ST THE TSBLE AND I WAS TSLING WITH HER AND ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER I STARTED HAVING HAND TREMORS SHE THOUFHT IT WAS THE DISCUSSION WE WERE TALKING ABOUT THE HEARING AND SHE SAID WHY ARE YOU SHAKING ARE YOU MAD AND I SAID NO ITS THE FIBROMYALGIA I FORGOT TO MENTION IT AT THE HEARING WHEN THE JUDGE ASKED HOW IT AFFECTS ME HEAD TO TOE WE KONOW EHST IT IS BUT OTHER PEOPLE DONT AND YOU HAVE TO EXPLSIN IT COULD BE EXPLWINED BY BEINT MAD BUT IT ISNT

If I am overly tired or my anxiety is high I will have these. My hands will start to to jerk and if I try to control it I will do whats called pill rolling with my hands Its painful to me and very disturbing, my doc gave me valium 10 mg and that seems to help, but I perfer to just avoid being overly tired or overly stressed. I hate meds. If my pain is really bad I can experience them too. It appears to me to be more like restless body syndrome than tremors because it reminds me of shaking legs, like when you have a baby on your knee. I had them so bad one night I almost went to the ER. So many bizarre symptoms.

I agree with your description. I also have restless legs syndrome, and I do feel like it's the same thing on a larger scale.
