I went to the new dr two weeks ago he gave me two weeks worth my pain meds only he wouldn’t give any others so for the last two weeks i have haf 4 seizures one i had and fell off a porch and reallt brused and cut my back up pretty bad i landed on a bile pedal hirys like no other i go back to this dr thursday he did get me appointments for nuro dr in sept RA dr in aug. And pain management the 24th of this month but without seizure meds im sure to have more and i pray i dont i hurt bad enough without all the jerking and flopping around from them still can’t sleep at night due to all the pain and stress and to top it all off my boyfriend leaves tomorrow morning and will be gone 6 to 8 weeks at a time so now i really feel alone
Sorry i did go to the er this last time the dr in the er did tests and said follow up with my dr he gave me seizure medication while in er but didn’t write me a script he daid seizures were brought on by pain from fibro sometimes i can feel them come on sometimes i cant so thursday i fo follow up and hoping he gives me seizure meds back
Somas xanaxs aderall nortriptyline and lamotrigine i was in hospital for a week last year because i wouldnt take meds like i was suppose to thats when seizures started drs said they were brought on by me being in so much pain it was sending my body into shock i was afraid of adiction is why i didn’t take them how i was suppose too but after that i didn’t want to end back up in hospital so i started taking them right but if o missed one dose of seizure med i was having one
Can you stay with someone who can look after you until your seizure situation stabilizes, tina? If you are having seizures, you should not be alone.

Good, that would make be feel better. Have all of your doctor phone numbers on a sheet of paper just in case, and a list of all the meds you were taking and the dosages.

I've read your message and also those from the people on here and I think you do need someone with you tonight, whether you can find a friend, acquaintance, your son, someone. If you think you're going to have one and have no one to help you, please call an ambulance! I honestly can't understand why your new doctor would take away your seizure meds, and I've never heard of fibro being related to seizures. If you can't get them back asap, can you go to an emergency clinic or emergency room? I mean, it's insane to be without medicine that can keep your seizures at bay! That just doesn't sound right at all. Would you be comfortable with calling your doctor's office tomorrow and telling him that you need the meds before Thursday? I think I'd be looking for a new doctor right about now if I were in your shoes. But that's just me, I am REALLY intolerant of stuff like this.

oh dear. i am not sure what meds you are or not taking but many of the meds given for pain happen to be anti epileptic meds and can not be abruptly stopped.. you can get pretty hurt with siezures( i have had gran mals) i think any doc that would discontinue those suddenly is certainly not the doc for you. go to ER is you must if you are suddenly stopped from those drugs. be safe

Lovett i did end up back in er they kept me over night drs there sent me home this morning with my seizure medication anf im doing follow up with dt tomorrow morning and my son is going to stay with me for awhile

i dont know how an ER doc can tell you definitively that the seizures you had were brought on by pain from fibro and gave you anti seizure meds but not enough.. this all does not make sense to me. I have history of grand mal seizures that started a few years after i came down with severe case of cfids( aka CFS/ME)// my point is seizures MUST be treated and then they can and should try to find out why. Meanwhile having seizures and falling and injuring your self is not good. I have no knowledge of having grand mal siezures. My husband , daughter and medical staff witnessed them > when i wake up i am disoriented and have no knowledge of them. Seizures are potentially dangerous and i am appalled that you are not being treated with more concern. Please follow up with treatment for seizures even as the are trying to find out why or blaming it on pain and or fibro. No one was ever able to find out why i had them nor the other strange neuro things that have happened to me like vertigo, aphasia, migraines with auras however they still need to be treated. you need to be as safe as can be. doctors were stumped that i had no accident nor brain trauma to cause these neuro things to happen to me. but my theory is that this severe case of cfids did injury to my brain.. anyway please take care.. hugggggs

Sitting here in this drs office crying my eyes out because he told me fibro was made up and all in my head thats why he wants me off all my meds oh lord i wish i knew of a dr that believed ib me and fibro anyone know of anyone in the tulsa oklahoma area
