I was so happy earlier. I went to the mainland to do some shopping and before I came home I went to Tesco. When I got to the tills I was feeling like I was going to faint and the lady at the checkout packed my bags for me and then insisted I sat down for a while because I looked so ill. It is worth mentioning here that I forgot my painkillers, so was in agony. After a few minutes the woman reappeared with a colleague who carried my shopping all the way from the store to the bus stop (1/4 mile away) and then waited with me until the bus arrived and got me on it safely.
The bus driver then drove slightly out of her route in order to have me dropped off right at the ferry port. The staff on the ferry helped me carry my bags as well. It is so nice that people actually care enough to do these things to help. I have never before felt like this. I am not happy that I have fibro, but I no longer see it as being all bad... I can make the most of it.
Have any of you had any similar experiences? There really are some wonderful people out there that we may never know the names of and never meet again who make all the difference in the world to me.
Wow, Mike, what an enlightened post! It's like a complete 180 from your earlier posts. And yes, you're right, Mike, there are good people in this world who will help you. Those folks did some truly wonderful things for you. I think they're there for you so you can see it for yourself and be able to grasp this concept about others and accept goodness aimed at you for the first time. Now that this lesson has come into your life and sharpened your view about the good in others and how it impacts you, I think the next lesson will involve you seeing the goodness in yourself.
There are wonderful people out there, glad one found you, usually they are people you would never suspect! You were due for someone so helpful and caring after that one witch in the shop! ha!
So glad they were so caring and helpful! Life is too short to be hateful and selfish!
